I buy halloumi ready sprinkled with mint in Sainsbs, Sharron.

It is lovely sliced and lightly fried with a huge slice of beef tomato also lightly fried.

If you want to just eat the fried halloumi, it would be just as nice with added mint/mint sauce.

If you are vegetarian not vegan - Halloumi cheese is wrapped in mint out here.

Thanks everybody.

Keep 'em coming.

I don't eat a lot of Quorn and the one they did that was a bit like mutton was just too realistic and I didn't like it.

I love mint sauce on cabbage or sprouts, and with mushy peas.

you eat meat substitutes, don't you?

Is there a lamb substitute that you could try with the mint sauce or jelly?

I googled and something that I was thinking of as a use is not my imagination .............. mint jelly on toast or bread, as you would use any other "jelly".

Someone else suggested "smothering mint sauce on top of a pie" .............. the type of pie was not mentioned!

I haven't eaten meat since 1975 but I have accommodated most of the things I miss but I do love mint sauce and mint jelly but can't think what I might eat it with.

If we have roast potatoes and Aunt Bessies (I can't make a Yorkshire to save my life!) I will have some with that or put it in tinned peas or a cup of green Oxo but there must be more ways for me to become addicted to it than that.
