It was a lovely building but they allowed it to go to ruin. Certainly didn't fit in with their plans....only surprise is they haven't completely taken the pier away ........yet....Rank mills is next no doubt.

It's a shame the Ocean Terminal building was demolished in 1983.

I know the area well and hardly any of it looks quite the same now....as for industry and exporting British made goods...well..... :-)
