I first came across Derek Fowlds as the sidekick to Basil Brush. Loved him in Yes Minister/Prime Minister and saw him when I occasionally watched Heartbeat as the Sgt policeman.

Aged 82 he died in hospital in Bath of pneumonia.

RIP Derek you did make me laugh - great underrated actor. <3
