Bath plug

My bath was finally re-instated the day before yesterday and I had the obligatory long,long soak. O Heaven..

As a bonus, the plug was replaced with a new one.

Why can't somebody make a plug can't somebody make a plug chain that is up to the job?

They use to have proper chains but now they have those bloody bead things which break the second time you take the plug out so my kitchen sink plug is on a bit of string.

Our new cloakroom plug chain broke first time it was used :-| :-| :-|. OH found one he had lurking in his 'useful' box which is probably yonks old. It is doing a good job six months on :-D

We changed our bathroom about 25 years ago and the old fashioned plug chains are still doing fine (although we have changed the actual plugs a couple of times - but only because they discoloured a bit and not because they weren't working well.

I prefer old stuff to new any day.
