Obtaining dates for death

Does any-one know how to obtain on screen the date of death? I enter death in the relevant box but the site keeps showing Birth dates. Many thanks in advance Tony |

If you're using GR, don't bother! Use freebmd.org.uk ( you'll still need to order certs for exact date) or https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp ( for more recent deaths) |

@ncestry have probate records ( which usually give death date ) , burial indexes and of course public trees often have death dates. |
