I thoroughly enjoyed this programme.

Audrey and Gracie in particular were such sweethearts. What wonderful adoptive parents they both have to make sure that the girls are forming a strong bond :-)

I also enjoyed this programme.

What a wonderful feeling that must have been to meet up at last. :-)

Saw it earlier this evening. Enjoyed every bit of it. How heartwarming to see good news and happy people.

What sad circumstances led to the separations, but great that the people found one another.

It was interesting to see the similarities in traits, mannerisms and abilities even though twins were raised apart.
Really sad that even in more recent years, twins were adopted with their new families having no idea that the children were twins.

A while ago I saw another T V programme about young Chinese girls raised apart in Norway and America, whose new parents also now arrange meetings, so that the girls can be involved in their twin's life.

There was also one about triplet men, all raised by separate American families. The men found their siblings after 2 enrolled at the same college by chance and other students were mistaking one for the other. When they investigated their birth history, they found they were not twins but triplets, so the 2 set out to find the 3rd sibling.

I watched both those too Gwyn . In fact, when they first mentioned Chinese twin sisters I thought it was about the Norway/Usa pair. That was a story filled with good luck and hapenstance.

If the American couple had bought the correct paperwork on the right day, the families would never have met.

If the dresses each couple had bought for their new daughter (one bought in Norway, the other in USA) hadn't been almost identical, the American mother might not have noticed the other child with her new family. If she hadn't felt the need (or found the courage) to talk the other family, the DNA teats would not have been done and the truth would not have come out.
These two families are doing the best they can to make sure that their daughters know each other.


The other story was very sad. Researchers knew the truth about the triplets from the beginning but kept it all quiet.They were unknowingly part of a nature/nurture research project. After the "boys" met each other they became part of a media circus. Making a difficult time even more difficult. Their story was not a happy one.
