For those interested in old ships the large wreck of a C17 Dutch armed merchantman lying in Poole Harbour, Dorset is to be raised in its entirety .The only parallel for such a project was the raising of the Mary Rose. Some parts of the ship eg the large carved rudder, have already been raised and can be seen in Poole Museum. |
