No coffee this morning, expecting my friend from around the corner to call for coffee any time now.

My bestie and I are hoping to see Downton Abbey next week. It's a while since we've been to the flicks together and we used to go regularly. <3 :-D

Next month we are hoping to see Brooklyn. It's tied in with our city's Book Festival and the author is saying a few words before the film starts, apparently. The books seems as though it will be a good read - has anyone read it?

I saw a film on telly a couple of weeks back called Brooklyn...it was on a bit late but I thoroughly enjoyed it :-D. Don't know whether it's the same Brooklyn you mean but it was about an Irish female immigrant that went to Brooklyn in the 50s. :-D

Never been to New York, Von; did you enjoy it?

Son has been - about 20 years ago - and granddaughter went last year to meet up with someone at uni there. She enjoyed all the usual tourist visiting places but said she could never live there. He liked it.

I did enjoy it Joy. :-D

Thought it had changed a bit since we were last there - reflection of the times ;-) ;-)

This time we visited less well known museums and sites. We also went to Brighton beach and had a great day there. :-D :-D :-D

I've never visited east coast USA at all but have visited west coast twice and Hawaii once and I enjoyed that.

Came through Houston once and the government guy there was charming - I had my two young children with me and he waved us through to board very early - but I had done them a favour a week or so earlier in Hawaii so it was a favour returned. :-D
