"It is 1000-1 that the EU won't renegotiate "the Deal".
Well , they won't.
Next.
Boris "We are leaving on 31 October come what may"
EU "We have arranged another extension for you. How long would you like?"

Pretti (not very Pattels) book which she co-authored is redolent with every kind of error. Doubt anyone here bothered to read it though preferring the DM/DailyBlue front page.

Very worrying that the PM thought that the Isle of Man was in the EU, and even more so that he ascribed a false rule about kippers, to the EU

How can we have any confidence in his Brexit plans.

Re Priti Patel

"Priti Patel, who was forced to resign from Theresa May’s government after revelations she had conducted secret meetings with the Israeli government, has been brought back into the Cabinet by new prime minister Boris Johnson.

Ms Patel, an ardent Leave campaigner will serve as home secretary, replacing Sajid Javid, who in turn will become Chancellor.

Supporters of Mr Johnson reportedly said he would appoint a “record number” of ethnic minority politicians and boost the number of women attending as full members of the Cabinet.

But Ms Patel’s promotion will raise eyebrows due to the manner of her departure from government less than two years ago, which involved a plan to funnel UK foreign aid money to the Israeli army, while she was international development secretary.

Accused of effectively running her own foreign policy in the Middle East she was forced to fly back early from an African trip for her dismissal in November 2017. "

Oh I know only too well who Ms Patel is and who her paymasters were. She, in my opinion, shouldn’t be within 100 miles of any government!

I,for one, am going to have a problem with the new Lib Dem leader(Jo Swinson/Swinton?) voice !!! :-(

I had a chat with Jo Swinson a couple of weeks ago. I rather like her soft Scottish burr. She has an excellent sense of humour and a great deal of political nous. Just what the UK needs.

Is it really so difficult to choose between the pifflepaffle of the Eton boating song, Facebook renegades, sour neo Marxists and good ol' British common sense?

fwiw her clothes fit properly too.

"Boris Johnson has promised to deliver Brexit by October 31,

>>> he claims that there is a 1000/1 chance of leaving without a deal, <<<

how a smooth exit is going to be achieved is unclear, remember the EU have no appetite to re-open negotiations and parliamentary numbers are stacked against all tabled solutions. He has claimed that free trade will continue, even in the case of leaving without a deal, by falling back on article 24 of GATT. "

Liam Fox was sacked for pointing out that there is no such thing as an instant trade deal under Gatt24.

The Leave side were very emphatic during the referendum campaign that the UK would not leave without a deal. What is now being piloted by the Junta is so far away from the Referendum that it is an outright lie to say that a NoDeal brexit is what was voted for.

blah blah piffwaffle flibertygibbet

Unfortunately as our referendums are not binding those who broke the law by overspending, were just given a slap on the wrist instead of being locked up.

In Switzerland, where a referendum is binding, a recent result was rejected because voters had been given the wrong information before the vote.

Dominic Cummings, Rollo!

There's a blast from the past here. As soon as I read what the papers wrote about him, his name rang a bell.

Don't believe everything you read about how tough he was (or probably is) by the way. :-S
