It's absolutely gorgeous here....but our plans for doing some garden work has had to be cancelled due to slurry being sprayed in one of the fields right next to us, horrible stench!

Hi everyone, very glad that I didn't have washing on the line! as slurry smell gets into it & noticable when ironing it! lol,

Have had to close the windows & back door as well, it's just too ripe at the moment, should have settled by tomorrow but it might rain tomorrow so could miss another day in the garden.

Had some cattle get into the rear garden this week, & they left their calling cards on the drive!!! they didn't break out of the field either! the 2 workers that were shifting them managed to loose them & they headed up to our property!! grrr.

It has been heavy rain here most of the day...but very muggy. Am slabbing outplaying bingo and watching 4 in a bed...really exciting afternoon

hahaha, LondonBelle, very true.
I don't always mind re the various farm jobs that have to be done but when we were geared up to go outside (garden is a nightmare atm due to hubby & I not been in good healthe recently) only to then smell that smell! & then find out it was our son in law doing the slurrying!

Thankfully they can only do it at certain times & supposedly not when it's raining!!

I was rather cross about the cattle getting away from the other workers though! they also left the field gate swung out onto the house road/dirt track which meant hubby having to get out of the car to close it!

The workers are VERY young men & they should have dealt with it, not ;eave it to 2 old age pendioners!

Butat the end of the day I still like living in te countryside, LOL.
