Fully agree with you about indentured apprentices JoyLouise - as you say, it happened all over the world, and not just to ex slaves - and up to quite recently too! |

I agree with Joy and Maggie above - got me a little cross too. a lot of UK house servants in the Uk & from Workhouses too. Nothing to do with slavery. |

I'm waiting for someone to have a slave from the Barbary slave trade in their tree - just to even things up! The Barbary slave trade went on for nigh on 300 years. |
