Ooh that was unexpected, but not the outcome, it couldn’t have been anything else really.

I think it just might be Lauren and Graham in the dance of but MTG could be right as well, very close there at the bottom. and thank goodness for Ashley actually getting not so good remarks from the judges.
I liked both Stacey and Faye.

Hmmmm the Lindy Hop didn't do much for me either....The Judges should have practiced giving the results...Nul Points from me for them :-D :-D

My favourites were Stacey's Paso & Faye's Waltz. Two completely different dances but if I had to choose between the two I think I'd pick Stacey it was just so dramatic :-D

Didn't like Joe's dance just not my cup of tea...... but Shirley did :-0

Thought Ashley was trying too hard.....not her best dance in my opinion :-(

So that leaves, in no particular order, Lauren, Graeme & Charles:-0 For me I think it will be Lauren & Graeme in the dance off with, sadly, Lauren to go :-(

I thought technically Charles's Tango was a lot more challenging for a male especially a 'newbie'. Graeme looked better when he didn't have to hold his partner and lead. The Salsa just wasn't Lauren's dance and I think she is much better at the old ballroom dances where she holds AJ and he leads :-)

Sooonwhat did you think of the Lindy Hop? Didn’t go much on it myself but If I am right I don’t think it changed the leader board at all

I never thought about her balance being affected - I think you may well be right - perhaps thats been whats wrong. Try not to look at the disability but it could be the answer. AJ's adaptations have been superb - she needs to give in to the dance and let herself go a bit. Sometimes she looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Perhaps they can just say Ashley had a "Special" mention but not part of the trophy. Or do what they did with Debbie McGee let her through to the final and the public just voted for Joe. Who knows what is going to happen at the end.

Must admit i would like to see a dance she isn't any good at and prove herelf a normal person

I think when Lauren got through to next week I too thought it could be Kate especially after the way Bruno spoke about Graeme's dance.....such a shame cos as I've said before she seems such a likeable person but thereagain this is a dance contest not a personality contest :-D :-D

I think Lauren has done exceptionally well and I think that even though it is only the lower part of the arm (when I say 'only' I don't mean that in a nasty way) that is missing it must affect her balance. Also, full marks to AJ for adapting to her disability. :-) I agree with you Tabitha about the dance on Saturday :-(

I too agree about about Ashley.....not sure what can be done though :-(

I actually warmed to Joe last night and loved his dance :-D

As for Charles.....could he be the dark horse :-0 :-D

AnninGlos Report 19 Nov 2018 14:11

I think, if Ashley is part of the judging she should be expected to do more than the others are expected to do. So should be jusged more 'strictly'. But the judges love her!

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 19 Nov 2018 13:17

I thought it was going to be Lauren or Kate..

There was something not quite right about Lauren's dance. Cant place what the problem was. Just looked as if something was missing from the choreography or style of her dance it looked a little clumsy in a way, it wasn't sleek and crisp.

Kate wasn't at her best either - it looked very heavy for an American Smooth - I think the judges picked the right one.

So pleased Charles got a good score and picked first.

I like Ashley but dont think she should be part of the final judging its not really fair on the others who have risen up from scratch.

LondonBelle Report 18 Nov 2018 09:53

Sooooooo liked Charles' Samba ;-) :-D

I thought they'd all stepped up a gear and those that danced with a group of professionals did not look one bit out of place :-D

I think it will be Lauren & Graeme in the dance off this week with, sadly, Lauren to be voted off :-(

The other possibility is that one of the better dancers and Lauren will be in the dance off with Lauren :-0. With Lauren to go :-(

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 17 Nov 2018 20:09

So..... it was always going to be Ashley who got the first 40. Could be Lauren and Kate in the dance off.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 14 Nov 2018 09:37

Reckon Kate could do well with the American Smooth she's far better at these kind of dances than Latin...fingers crossed for her :-D

Just seen Kate Silverton on Lorraine. I think she is the true spirit of Strictly. She is working hard, and is like a kid in a sweetshop. So excited. She has an American Smooth this week. Good luck to her.

Interesting after the hoo ha in the paper about Danny complaining after being voted off that he 'chose' not to make an appearance on It Takes Two. I don't think he has done himself or his career any favours. Accepting whatever the verdict, fair or not, with good grace would have been a better way.

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 12 Nov 2018 12:43

So pleased Charles was not in the dance off - not the greatest - but he does try. He looked so sad .

Still not a fan of Contemporary - it should be in the gymnasium, or a dance studio not a Ballroom.

Not sure about the decision but agree Danny had not really changed - like the others.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 12 Nov 2018 06:10

* packs crystal ball away for another week* :-D

Pleased to see the 'newbies' have started to beat those with dance experience :-D

Ashley & Faye though are still head and shoulders above the rest with Ashley the better of the two this week even though I don't like contemporary dance :-D

It will be interesting to see how they all cope with sprung floor of Blackpool :-D

Goes in search of me ' Kiss Me Quick' hat :-D :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 11 Nov 2018 21:00

Reading here, I can see Danny has left. I cant say I am surprised, his rumba was not too good on Saturday.

Soooo, Blackpool next week. Cue lots of footage of donkeys, rock, and fish & chips!!

:-D :-D :-D

Annx

Annx Report 11 Nov 2018 16:44

Yes, once I read that about Danny I thought it could be the end for him as he will lose votes. He's very good, but his hips seemed a bit stiff in the Rumba, not enough roll, so it wasn't his best this week either.

I thought Kate's shoulders were still tending to drop and move forward as well, but she is popular so will still be in I think.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 11 Nov 2018 15:09

Yes, AnnG I read in the week that he had his partner Amy in tears and she eventually walk off telling the producers she couldn't work with him anymore :-0 :-0

That said I still think his Rumba was rubbish. I think he hasn't improved like the others have...he is dancing as he was in week 1 and the others have improved each week and have overtaken him :-D

I hope Charles isn't in the dance off too....give the poor man a break :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 11 Nov 2018 14:36

I think Danny will go, he had negative reports on him printed in both the DM and apparently the Sun over the weekend saying he was a Diva and not nice to his partner. Even if not true mud sticks and people won't like it. I didn't think his Rumba was very good either, could be him and Graham in the dance off, hope Charles won't be.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 11 Nov 2018 13:38

Hmmmm, who is to be in the dance off this week :-0. I personally didn't like Danny or Graeme so those are the two I think will be in the dance off :-D. With Danny to go :-0

It's gonna get tougher from now on:-0 :-D
