Sounds like you two have a scrabble match in the near future no rude words :-)

You feel free to take over the thread Kucinta, you are probably far more interesting than I am, most people are. Fred certainly was.

You could friend me on FB, remembering I have two Rs, and I will challenge you if you want to play Scrabble.

Struggling to find the pt scrabble (sounds like you have to exercise your body as well as your brain!)

Complete numpty at this. Will try again tomorrow. Bed calls.

Pt's one of the games they offer. Can't remember how I found it.It is a green logo with a scrabble tile on it.

Sharron, l can't see me beating anyone! How do you find it to get going? I did join facebook a while ago, but found it all a bit incomprehensible, I'm a complete numpty with the whole social media thing.

Sharron

Sharron Report 27 Apr 2018 22:53

I play Scrabble on FB if you want to beat me.

Arghh! I 'bought' a tablet at Argos with my Nectar points, but am finding the 'keyboard ' a bit squitty, and the darn thing predictive texts and changes what l meant to say, but l don't realise until l've posted e.g. see for sew in my last post, and there for their.

I think my feline boys would try and assist me with the rugmaking -l can't even see a button back on without there assistance. I have recently discovered online jigsaws which are quite relaxing, and was thinking about trying something called WOrds with Friends, which is some sort of online Scrabble lookalike. The competitive element might trigger the old anxiety beasts though.

Apologies for Taking over Sharon's post! I do admire the way she's finding her way back though, and l loved the Fred sagas, Sharon has a wicked way with words ;-)

Patchwork, you will have forty odd years worth there.

How about rug making Kucinta?
I went through a phase of not working and bought a dolls house to construct.
I now have 5.
2 new ones and 3 second hand ones for 'renovation'.
One should be a 'squat' :-D

....then I started work again, and they've been left untouched for a couple of years - but are there when I need them (or clear the room out enough to start on them again) ;-) :-D

Kucinta Report 27 Apr 2018 22:11

I don't mind being a non-entity, but l'd like to feel more connected, slightly less 'hiding in my room, safe within my womb, l touch no one and no one touches me'. The cats will keep me company though, as long as l feed them! :-D

Sharron Report 27 Apr 2018 21:12

Try dishcloths, very soothing and useful.

I suppose I am very lucky to be living in a village, my village where I have always lived, but I am still a bit of a non-entity.

Kucinta Report 27 Apr 2018 20:43

It's really liberating for me not to have the stress of trying to pass for normal at work every day, but l know l could end up in complete hibernation if l'm not careful. Living in a city l feel very anonymous, that l don't really belong anywhere, so l'm trying to change things in baby steps, as its so easy to be overwhelmed just by the basics of living. I need to find my version of dishcloths! ;-)

Looks like we are both going for the same end Kucinta.

Have just joined U3A after taking early retirement at Easter because of my mental health issues. Hoping to go to my first meeting in a couple of weeks.

Caroline

Caroline Report 27 Apr 2018 18:32

My understanding is the U3A allows groups on whatever you want as long as someone will organise it.

Sharron

Sharron Report 27 Apr 2018 17:49

Thank you Ann.

I do feel different now, like I am emerging from something.

We will just have to see how the U3A goes.

AnninGlos Report 27 Apr 2018 17:13

Well done Sharron and welcome back, good to see that sparkle.. we joined U3A 18 months ago and have enjoyed it. Of course, like any organisation you get the ones who think they are there to lead us where we might or might not want to go but on the whole we are pleased we joined.

Sharron

Sharron Report 27 Apr 2018 17:01

OH and I have been and joined.

Don't know about it at all at the moment. That woman who had made several patchwork quilts when I was finishing my forty odd year one was there and I think there might be a few more who know because they know they know.

Oh well, we will see.
