oooooo I FORGOT TO POST THIS EARLIER :-D
YOU HEARD ABOUT OUR EARTHQUAKE? (As Welsh people... we are owning it!) ;-)
I was in my bed at about 2.30pm last Saturday when the EARTH SHOOK .... In fact it was the bed that shook ..... ok! Sooo no dirty comments!
I was having a bit of a rest when the bed violently shook. At first I thought it was the cat that had snuck in and got behind the headboard!
It was in fact a 4.4 magnitude earthquake in the Swansea Valley about 24 miles away.
AND I WAS IN GOOD COMPANY! JIFFY (Jonathan Davies pundit) was also in bed! BUT IN THE MUMBLES! It was his weekend off and he was watching telly in bed when it happened!

So sorry to read Wales and England lost their games though. Not good at all that, but must say Congratulations to all of Ireland and Scotland's fans. We have to try harder!! xxx

It kind of takes the zing out of a competition if the same teams win all the time. Yesterday at Murrayfield Scotland played a blinder with passion against a molly coddled England who scarcely knew which day of the week it was and had def not thought about the rules recently.
It was good to see the referee team get some very important tight decisions right.
This has happened to good England teams before. They will get the dodgy wheel back on the chariot and roll on. The 6 Nations will be decided between Ireland and England.

THE GENTLE DOVE / Y DERYN PUR (literally the pure bird) .... IVOR EMMANUEL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7u2xLHpukg
Oh gentle dove, with pinion blue, Fly swiftly to the maiden Whom long I've lov'd with passion true. A message bear love laden. Go to her and say I'm weeping, One hope in my bosom keeping; Tis to meet her fondly greet her; Yet if her love I fail to waken, May Heaven forgive her all the pain She gives this heart forsaken.
With heart so gay on happy day I walked with step so sprightly, The fairest maid I ever saw Came tripping there so lightly. On her beauty so amazing, All transfixed I stood there gazing, 'Mong the fairest she seemed rarest, Her smile did shed around fresh beauty; She shone an angel to my view, To love her was but duty!

Born in St. Thomas, Swansea .....
IF I RULED THE WORLD ......... HARRY SECOMBE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSiednkXCzM
C&P'd from YouTube "Harry Secombe sings "If I Ruled The World" from the musical Pickwick, a song which would become his signature.
This audio only, home recording is from a 1963 Boxing Day evening (from 8.20 to 9.05pm) BBC TV show "Who Is Secombe?", which no longer exists in the TV archives. It was recorded directly from the TV on open reel 1/4 inch tape at a speed of 3.75 ips.
I'm pretty sure the first voice on this clip is conductor Eric Robinson, who regularly appeared on BBC TV music shows of the 60s Harry reached # 18 in the UK charts with this song in 1963."
