Here's a beautiful song from a well-loved duo that are no longer with us :-(
They were like the Morecambe and Wise of Wales but with singing!
Written by Ryan Davies, here's
PAN FO'R NOS YN HIR (When The Night Is Long) ... RYAN & RONNIE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaN0tJKF51A
The literal English Translation ....
When The Night Is Long
When the night is long and the dawn is far away Battling through the long hours without an hour’s sleep Fighting, tossing and turning through the great, long hours Without seeing the close of yesterday nor the end of my journey
Then through the black darkness I see your face I remember the romance the eyelid closes When the night is long.
Then through the black darkness I see your face Fear and terror vanish away When the night becomes day.

NO MORE SIMPLICITY WALES!
It’s 10 years since Warren Gatland took over as Head Coach of the Wales team. Wales had not been doing very well for some time! They had been knocked out of the Rugby World Cup by Fiji.
As EDDIE BUTLER brought out in Scrum V this week – “ Gatland imposed CLARITY and SIMPLICITY”
He had a new message “ BE DIRECT AND KEEP IT SIMPLE” .... ....to work on fitness, improve the defence but above all “KEEP IT SIMPLE!”
This strategy transformed the Wales side bringing success- 3 Six Nations titles including 2 Grand Slams.
When Gatland took over it was the OSPREYS that were the dominant force in club rugby. In Wales’ first game under Gatland he picked no less than 14 Ospreys to face England and won!
But since those early years Rugby has changed. We are seeing a more sophisticated game ... “Now in the Red of Wales –SIMPLE IS STOPPABLE!”
“NOW WE NEED INTRICATE, INTERWEAVING RUGBY, based on a game of passing and supporting all on a solid platform!”
This time Gatland has chosen THE SCARLETS as a REGIONAL TEMPLATE for WALES! The Scarlets have been on fire this last couple of years and are the talk of the Continent!
Under Head Coach Wayne Pivac, The Scarlets have adopted that new style of rugby! The intricate, layered, interweaving rugby, to great effect!
GATLAND HAS CHOSEN NO LESS THAN 12 SCARLETS FOR TODAY’S GAME v SCOTLAND – 10 in the starting line-up and 2 on the bench.
NO KEEPING IT SIMPLE TODAY WALES..... BE COMPLEX .... BE DAZZLING .... BE BRILLIANT! <3 <3 <3

Here are the Anthems for the Sing-A-Long
SCOTLAND:
O FLOWER OF SCOTLAND (Match Day Version)
O flower of Scotland When will we see your like again That fought and died for Your wee bit hill and glen And stood against him Proud Edward's army And sent him homeward Tae think again
Those days are passed now And in the past they must remain But we can still rise now And be the nation again That stood against him Proud Edward's army And sent him homeward Tae think again
WALES
MAE HEN WLAD FY NHADAU (Match Version)
Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi, Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri; Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr tra mad, Dros ryddid collasant eu gwaed
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad. Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau, O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad. Tra môr yn fur i'r bur hoff bau, O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.

Hi everyone, well I got the right weekend this time. Shan't be on here much as doing dinner for friends tonight & in the kitchen alot (what a stupid weekend to have them). Good luck to your boys Jem but I am cheering for Scotland, I will know who is winning as OH will be cheering for your boys Jem, so if he is noisy I know Wales have scored, he will be quiet if Scotland score, does it to wind me up.
