Good to see you on here Ph. Well if you can't don't. Or maybe a different style?

Just continue doing nothing and you will get there. Do you have company occasionally to stop the boredom?

Some bad news...........I can't be doing with wearing knickers! :-0

Today was quite a good day. I have been........

Busy doin' nothin'
Workin' the whole day through
Tryin' to find lots of things not to do
Busy goin' nowhere
Isn't it just a crime
I'd like to beeeee unhappy, but
I never do have the time!

Hi Prickles, do just follow what your body is telling you, enjoy the opportunity to sleep the day away/do nothing without feeling guilty. And don't worry about your passion for helping people with look ups there will still be some when you feel up to it.

Goodness hello Foggy good to see you.

It takes time to recover from an operation, don't rush it!!

Even the anaesthetic can take a long time to get out of your body ........... some people don't feel back to normal for as long as a year, that included me after I'd had each of the mastectomies. Those were probably not as serious as what you had had done.

Don't push it. Your attention span will gradually improve. You'll be back to chasing those elusive rellies for other people soon. xxx

You will delay your healing if you try to push yourself too soon

Your body is telling you what you can do so listen to what it's saying <3

Our minds say come on get up and go as things need doing but your body needs to heal slowly

Take care <3

Prickles my neighbour in UK had a big op and he felt the same as you. I told him it's a gradual process.

Listen to your body - sleep when you want to and don't try to do too much at once.

I have had 2 ops and I was much wiser the 2nd time around. Each day I worked out what I really needed to do and I took all day to do it - not all as soon as I got up and was shattered the rest of the day. I recovered much quicker after the second op because I took care not to do too much.

You'll soon find yourself with a little more energy everyday. Be patient and good to yourself. Treat yourself you've been through the mill.

Can't find a decent recording of this just read the lyrics

Hello again everyone.

Great song choice Pat....... :-D

Thank you for your get well wishes David.

I had an appointment at the hospital clinic on Tuesday.

I was still feeling very tired, sore and tender and a bit deflated that i didn't seem to be making good progress. I still lack concentration and can't get through a whole day without falling asleep.

After an examination, my tummy is still swollen, pink and inflamed. The consultant explained that there may have been some internal bleeding which will probably take at least four to eight weeks to settle down.

He reminded me that the surgery was only four weeks ago and sleeping during the day was all part of the healing process.

I came away feeling confident and reassured. It was a case of me expecting too much too soon.

It takes all my time an effort to switch on my laptop.....let alone sign in to GR.

My absolute passion is helping other members with their research.........and yet i can't even be bothered to look in on the boards.

""Come along Prickles..........pull yerself togevver!!! :-D""

Soooo, it's onwards, upwards and steady as i go.

Off to reply to all my PM's.......you lovely people!

Prickles. xxx

Good to see you back on here PH, you are missed. Hopefully now you have kicked the morphine it will be onwards and upwards. I hope the stitches came out without too much trauma and that the scar is healing well. Don't worry about losing a stone (some of us could wish to do that although not the way you did), just think that you can eat what you fancy without worrtying about putting on the weight.

Just continue to call in here and we will endeavour to try and keep your spirits up. :-) :-) <3 <3 <3 And don't go overdoing it now that youa re starting to feel better, give yourself plenty of time to heal.
