It's been a wet morning here and again Tesco was trying to freeze me to death, shopping thrown in the cupboards, ironing done now it's cuppa time :-D :-D

David I am married to a man who did electronics in the RAF for almost 25 yrs which included large computers and then as a civilian worked on a computer for MOD.

We have 2 pcs as well that will be linked to us. The one upstairs carries most of our downloads but we can access it when linked up and download to our own machine. My BMD certs. are all on the upstairs pc but I can download them and put them on my tree. :-D

Don't ask how he does it I just get shown what to do to access the downloads. :-S :-D

Well done you for doing it all yourself.

I don't know as much as I should because OH doesn't wait for me to see what he's doing. When I ask I get techinical jargon that I can't follow. When we first had a computer the children were small and OH would do things and tell me all about it. I used to watch Blue Peter with the children - they explained so much for me that was not filled with jargon. Perhaps that was my mistake - he thought I was following his instruction and understanding it but in reality it's was children's TV that gave me the explanations. :-S :-S :-D :-D

My abilities such as they are on a PC are self taught.

I bought my first PC second hand about 10 years ago. Had a few since.

All used, never had a new one.

You're going to have your PC's in tandem Pat, good idea.

I shall be 72 next month.....

My late Father will be 103 next year....

My OH is 70 next month David :-D

This is hello from a new laptop, after OH sorted it out, my old laptop worked fine then 2 days ago started playing up. In front of OH's eyes (after saying I'd done something to lose a file) the laptop swallowed 2 sets of files and we were unable to get up Microsoft software put on the 'puter at the place it was made. OH said I had a dying laptop.

Yesterday we spent from early yesterday morning to 13.30 in a simposium. We came home and he had a cup of tea then went off to Limassol and came back with 2 new laptops. His was overheating and stopping. He's now sorting out his new laptop and then going to connect all the 'puters up again so we are linked up.

He does like doing his techie bit. :-D

Friends who are out now can't make OH's birthday so turned our meal out on Tuesday to a birthday bash with a cake. :-D

Last night we were out with friends celebrating the new year, Rosh Hashanah. :-D

48 hours from now, Ellen will be 70 <3 <3
