I cant stand the angst every week! Its wearing!

:-( :-( :-(

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 4 Dec 2017 19:34

That's what has put me off the show this year,
plus the children at play upstairs.

MotownGal Report 5 Dec 2017 17:14

Whatever happened to children being seen and not heard?

Eh, Emma, eh, eh?

:-D :-D :-D :-D

'Emma' Report 5 Dec 2017 17:46

Sort em out Maddie ;-) :-D

I think they needed to keep Gemma & Molly in so they could have someone to get rid of this week and next - otherwise it would be too tight a contest

Thats my theory and sticking to it.

I really hope its done on ability not simpering otherwise Alexandra would pull the "lost mum routine again" We have all lost someone close at some time but dosn't mean we can get special treatment.

At least Joe, Debbie, Davood and Gemma have all started from scratch.

Saturday is the Semi-Final of Strictly 2017! It's also double the pressure for our five remaining couples as they'll be dancing not once, but twice to earn a place in the all-important final the following week.

Take a look at our 10 routines below and let us know who you'll be backing this weekend.

Alexandra and Gorka are performing a Salsa to Finally by Cece Peniston and a Viennese Waltz to Tina Arena’s version of R.E.M’s Everybody Hurts

Debbie and Giovanni are dancing a Foxtrot to Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and a Jive to I’m So Excited by the Pointer Sisters

Joe and Katya are performing an American Smooth to Have You Met Miss Jones? By Robbie Williams and the Argentine Tango to Human by Rag n’ Bone Man

Gemma and Aljaž are dancing the Rumba to Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth featuring Emeli Sandé and a Tango to My Sharona by The Knack (Royal Blood cover)

Mollie and AJ are Waltzing to Angel by Sarah McLachlan and performing a Samba to Whenever, Wherever by Shakira

I would like Joe and Debbie to be in the final.

I am also getting a bit cheese on Take Two with Zoe, when the Charleston results are being announced. The long, long wait for the number to be announced. Obviously she has been told she looks cute doing the wide eyed, cheeks sucked in face, but please, not EVERY night! :-D :-D :-D

Joe great except for his little stumble. Debbie great too!

And the Oscar goes to...............................

:-S :-S :-S

LondonBelle Report 10 Dec 2017 07:25

I didn't see all the second dances :-(

Joe did impress me though :-D

Where does Debbie find her energy from :-0

Alexandra stepped up a gear and although I hate to admit it I did like her Salsa :-0

I didn't see Gemma or Mollie's second dance :-( i did see Mollie's samba and sadly it was somewhat lacking and by far the worst first dance :-(.I thought Gemma's Rumba was not that bad...she does have lovely legs :-D

So based on what I saw, I think it has to be Mollie & Gemma in the dance off with sadly, Mollie to go :-(

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 10 Dec 2017 07:49

I agree Mollie and Gemma in the dance off and Mollie to go

Next week Gemma to be 4th and then a fight to the death for the other 3.

I dont mind if either Joe or Debbie win but please dont let it be Alexandra.

Good dancer but plays the sympathy card too much for me and want the sympathy vote - bit much of the poor little me type.

AnninGlos Report 10 Dec 2017 11:17

I agree with everything tabitha has said. Do hope either Jo or Debbi win

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 10 Dec 2017 12:42

Yep that is what I think too. But I was a bit more cryptic!

Who will win the Oscar? ;-) ;-) ;-)

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 10 Dec 2017 15:25

I think it has already been won many times over!! ;-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 10 Dec 2017 20:29

Well it was just as we all predicted wasn't it? I thought Mollie was very gracious in her farewell speech, as she credited all her fellow dancers.

Someone else wasn't so gracious though. :-0

I do love the way Giovanni escorts Debbie and holds her hand. I think this competition has done her a power of good, and as she says herself, she has her sparkle back. Good for her! <3

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 10 Dec 2017 21:51

Yes just as we predicted and tonight the right result. And Mollie was so gracious in losing, she is obviously popular with the others as well. I suppose it should be Gemma who goes next week unless something unusual happens.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 11 Dec 2017 07:00

Yes, I agree Mollie was very gracious but I think she knew her time was up :-(. She had helped to make the series with here sheer determination to do well...well done Mollie :-) :-)

So, we are down to the final four :-0

I have a sneaky feeling that Joe could be the winner :-D. As long as he doesn't have a 'little stumble':-0 :-0

But I would be pleased to see either Joe or Debbie win :-D

Gawd, Alexandra was OTT with her acceptance speech ;-) :-D. She did forget to mention the kitchen sink :-D

Think Gemma is there to make up the numbers:-( Although, she was better than Mollie :-D

So who will raise the 2017 Glitter Ball :-D

Annx

Annx Report 11 Dec 2017 15:28

Yes, it turned out right didn't it! I would be happy for Debbie or Joe to win. They seem genuinely nice people too. The experience seems to have given Debbie her purpose and focus back after a sad year and Giovanni has brought out her best with his confidence in her. I got fed up with Alexandra going on and on and still feel she is a bit of an attention seeker. Her legs in some dances still seem a bit too splayed at the knees to be elegant for my liking. Gemma, bless her really tries and gets better but can't quite catch the others.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 11 Dec 2017 16:38

Love the look on the face of the bauble on your Avatar Annx :-D

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 12 Dec 2017 13:52

As long as Alexandra keeps above the knee covered (not a short skirt) she is fine - its when she did the Mary Poppins number she looked very gawky and that the legs didn't belong to her as they didn't seem to go the way you thought they should.

Certainly wouldn't have given her all 10s for the Salsa - 9s if anything.

In theory its the public only vote for the final - we all need to make sure we vote on Saturday. We want to get the right person lifting the trophy.

Annx

Annx Report 12 Dec 2017 16:52

Thank you Ann, they are on the Christmas tree now! I had to have a practice on some paper to get the faces right! :-)

I was thinking today how some of the dresses are absolutely beautiful. I know they recycle some to use for other dancers but wouldn't it be nice if the winner (if a lady!) could keep the last dress she danced in.

It must be nail biting for them this week with the show dance and daring lifts etc. There's no let up while they are still in the competition.
