Well it looks like ill health means she won't be Home Secretary after all.

careful Lee you might get RR'd...if memory serves me right Ann might have said something similar and others have....look earlier...the teenage spotty off spring of them with right wing views was one post :-D

If they ditch D Abbott and J Corbyn then they may win but I doubt it.

If they ditch Diane Abbot they could win ;-) ;-)

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Jun 2017 20:28

And as "interesting" as that all might be does it answer the threads questions? :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Jun 2017 19:51

To even things out, Phillip Hammond - Tory Chancellor of the Exchequer - That's the person in charge of finance - so he Should have a 'grasp' - was 'only' £20 billion out on the cost of HS2.
David Davis was wonderfully slapped down by Krishnan Guru-Murthy about politicians lying. :-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Jun 2017 18:56

So in a nutshell after that long long lesson in "history".....you agree she shouldn't be Home Secretary

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Jun 2017 18:39

See all the parties have them Rollo!

But as the thread says it's not so much her as her in that job..... :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 6 Jun 2017 18:36

So is Diane Abbott a liability then? Yes, in my opinion.

I see the LibDems have trotted out their liability too - Nick Clegg. :-(

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Jun 2017 18:34

Just noticed Ann first comment has been RR'd !!

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Jun 2017 18:20

And there we have it Rollo goes back to insulting me again

"BTW why have you reposted my piece is it so good that like New York you had to read it twice or are you just slow at reading?"

It is a fun thread in so much as the whole of the western world is laughing at her.....find me even a Labour flag waving press report that praises her.

I've never said the Tories are faultless and I said start your own thread on them by all means.

By the way...by copying it you can't delete it .... :-D

"KENSE has it spot on in the event that Labour forms a govt with SNP support.
Moving on to more senior jobs Bojo has not been exactly a great example of stron an stable, more like ( suggestions).

If the Tories are the largest party - certain - I get to trouser £500 and May has the right to try and form a govt Before Jez gets a go. As Caroline says polls can spring surprises. Nothing like the surprises that dead govts feasting vampire like on the coalition can spring eg Merkels coalition with the Socialists or the strange win of the centre left in France.

May could offer far more to Sturgeon than Jez and Labour would ever do.
What could be on offer then?
Federal UK, single market, unrecoverable defeat of Labour.
But could May sell it to her party?"

There you go off subject again Rollo you mentioned this on other threads but this is a fun thread about Diane.

That said you're saying everyone should vote for Labour and the unknown.....who knows who will do what job except dear old JC.....isn't that like saying I'll hire a plumber but I've no idea who they are??

You can't say the Independent is a Tory paper....and even they have something to say........

Caroline

Caroline Report 6 Jun 2017 16:41

True....says a lot though doesn't it :-D

Kense

Kense Report 6 Jun 2017 16:38

Because in opposition none of the competent Labour MPs wanted Jeremy as leader so didn't want to be in the Shadow Cabinet. If he is in power then their reluctance will disappear.
