Okay well what I meant was if the TV crews had asked the right people they would have got that answer too....like the BBC etc the US news is very bias when it wants to be and you as the viewer only see what they want you to see. Yes you have friends in the US but again they only see what they see. There is no way there isn't some supporter of Hillary who is a nutter too. Reporters/pollsters/whom ever can pick and choose who they want to show/report on.

As my son tells me, do not believe anyone you see on US TV is genuine unless they show the interviewer their a) Social Security Number b) drivers license c) tax return lolol and scarily he may be right.

Guinevere Report 10 Nov 2016 19:45

It was very obvious who they were. I'm not naïve and don't need lessons on what the media can be like, thanks. It was a UK TV crew, not American.

When people volunteer the information that they will arm themselves and take over if Hillary wins, I tend to believe that's the type of cretin they are. Wild eyed and frothing at the mouth but very dangerous in a country where anyone can get a gun.

And stupid enough to say it when they are being recorded.

Stupidity and guns are not a good mix, especially at a Trump rally.

Sue ..... that is definitely true!!

When you have been a businessman with a reputation for wheeling dealing and suspicious deals, and are a man accused of sexually assaulting and verbally demeaning women, then it is always possible that someone will get up the courage to file a legal case against you.

In Trump's case, it seems that other millionaires and billionaires who do business with him almost never repeat the experience.

In the case of the women, those who have so far come forward have been subject to more derogatory remarks. I wonder if any will want to go further?

He is reported as having a vile temper, and can change from genial to vile in an instant if someone upsets him, asks him the wrong question, does not do what he wants, etc.

Wonder when that will happen in the White House, and who will be the first recipient?

supercrutch Report 10 Nov 2016 20:27

I am not saying he is the perfect candidate to run the US but the people have chosen him and that's that!

All my family and friends are aghast but they aren't within the demographic groups who favoured Trump.

However, the majority also dislike Clinton and know that any more digging into her financial backers and *cough* charitable foundations may prove extremely inconvenient.

I'm more interested to see if the usual suspects can force Trump into supporting their foreign policy agendas. I saw earlier that an Israeli spokesman said it will be the end of the 2 state solution, well I hope not!

A case against Trump goes to trial on Nov 28

Donald Trump is scheduled to go on trial this month in a class-action lawsuit against him and his now-defunct Trump University, potentially taking the witness stand weeks before his inauguration as president of the United States.

The judge is U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, the Indiana-born jurist who was accused of bias by Trump during the campaign for his Mexican heritage.

There is a hearing today to give jury instructions and determine evidence to be allowed at the trial.

Among the requests for evidence to be heard or not (from both sides) is a highly unusual petition by Trump's attorneys to exclude any statements made by or about their client during the presidential campaign. The request would apply to Trump's tweets, a video of Trump making sexually predatory comments about women, his tax history, revelations about his private charitable foundation, and public criticisms about the judge in the case.

In addition, there is apparently a new lawsuit about to be filed .............. Remember the photo tweeted by Donald Trump Jr showing a bowl of Skittles and comparing it to Syrian refugees??

The man who took that photo is suing Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and vice-presidential nominee Mike Pence for copyright infringement.

David Kittos, an expert photographer and former Cypriot refugee, says he never gave permission and never would give permission for his photo to be used in the ad. He lives in Surrey, England

Billionaire U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump said on Thursday he does not want the $400,000 annual salary that comes with the White House job and would turn it down if elected.

Anybody believe him ???? ;-) ;-) ;-)

Kay????

Kay???? Report 10 Nov 2016 22:12

Yep,

he pays more than that to the ex's so dont need it.

I think this was more a power thing than a real desire of care about the man on the street with holes in his shoes,,,,,,,,he cant get much bigger than he is so a novel way to spend his time walking round the WH....

I wonder how hes going to devote to his buisnesses..........although hes trained his daughter well who looks after many things........but he still has his hand on the button.

anyway didnt the Electoral College have the final say who went forward ?...they chose him.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 10 Nov 2016 22:33

Kay

He can have nothing to do with any of his businesses when he becomes President.

He has to remove himself from any and all contact with them and their operations ............... most Presidents do that by setting up Blind Trusts, run by trustees who communicate nothing to the person.

It has been suggested by some that Donald Jr will be in the White House helping father, and the other children will run the businesses

That might not be sufficient arms' length ............ not quite "pillow tlak" close, but close enough

Dick Cheney, Dubya's Vice-President, had some problems with his connections as Chairman of Haliburton Company

Caroline

Caroline Report 11 Nov 2016 01:51

Guinevere......I think we can surely agree that not all supporters of Trump wanted to attack the White house. There were a few numpties in front of a camera....don't tar them all with the same brush.....some of them will be normal people who wanted a change.

Caroline .............

it was not an "ill educated comment" that I made regarding the men and women who were working in the industries that have been closed

Yes, there were educated people working there, but the majority had less than High School Graduation.

I've never accused you of ill educated remarks or response ........

....... I assume that you are speaking wih some knowledge of what you are saying.

Rewriting history already.

JoyLouise Report 11 Nov 2016 06:06

I've not heard about that Guinevere.

Oh dear, reneging on his promises even before he's been 'crowned'. :-( He might have had the decency to wait until he had moved into the WH.

He may not be the man his fans thought he was and they might find they have a long four years or so ahead of them.

Sad innit, oh dear, never mind, gotta put up with it now folks. ;-)

I was not saying you were making an ill educated comment but taking acception at you saying people in some of these jobs were largely ill educated.

Yes I know many in these types of jobs past and present, and they can't get those jobs without their High school diploma min., most though have college or university degrees. Most have worked there for over twenty years and took the jobs when there was nothing in their field of education.

I also know a large number of highly educated people in for instance the teaching field, and they have spent their time in the classroom filling innocent young heads full of anti-Trump information without also covering Clinton and all her possible problems.

A person educational level doesn't always mean they make the most well thought out decisions....highly educated people think the sun shines out of Trump and some also think Clinton can do no wrong. Personally I think they both have their problems and it's sad there was no more worthy person available to lead the US.

Education is not filling empty buckets - it’s about lighting fires in the brain.

And teachers are expected to do their utmost towards fulfilling the students’ expectations.

Teachers/parents whomever should have been giving examples of good and bad for all sides not just putting one person down........even though it's tempting to instill our own strongly held views on our kids.
