Yes Emms....if you google there are lots of old photos including the history of the place...very interesting..it has its own museum :-D |

Yes it's a lovely place...Last year I was helping a friend do some FH and took a trip to the church to locate some headstones. His family lived in some of the houses there because they were Lever workers.....the planning of the village I think was way ahead of its time, also all the benefits for the workers.....to come from the back to backs of Merseyside and other over crowded places to work and live there must have been wonderful :-) |
