nearly time for this weeks show!

Maybe Lesley or Ed this week, unless someone else dies on their feet.

My two least favourites are in it for the long term I fear.

:-(

They sure do!

I am still not comfortable when they have a group/singer come on, and then a pair of dancers go into a routine.

Let the poor souls have THEIR moment of glory and let them sing!

The dancers do a woop-d-doo and the audience start clapping and whooping and the singer cannot be heard. Weird to me!

If they did that - they would lose out on money & opportunity to be on TV again for ratings.

Also sure they make money from the telephone calls as well. Plus they do a singing & dancing spot for the "Sunday" show to showcase latest songs for select artists & looks good to showcase the specific dancers.

They like to try & capture the audience

OK so I am gonna be Devil's Advocate here, and I am passing no comment at all.

The operation that Anastasia had was one of the more extreme procedures. It involves, as I understand it, having muscle taken from her back, and flipped around to form breast tissue. So she has scars on her back and her chest. I imagine that she needs a deal of time for that to heal properly. I also imagine that she has to be careful about what she does, and how violently.

Thus saying, I think she is extremely brave to take part in Strictly, and she also said she would be donating her fee to a Breast Cancer Charity.

So far, all being equal.

However, I cannot quite get my head around the kerfuffle, on the show, when she did not dance.

Tess said that the results were in, and the winner/loser had been decided.

SO. This being the case. WHY is there a dance-off every week?

AND. Why do the judges need to say whether or not the contestant can go through?

They may as well cut out the Sunday show, and announce the results later on Saturday, say just before Match of the Day.

I thought he was justified in his thoughts - Craig was being really nasty that night - got his Knickers in a twist bef he came on screen.

Dont think he will get on with the Judge

I did Maddie and he said it twice and aimed
at Craig.

Starts with a B has two L's and ends with KS :-0

Judge RR incurred Craig's displeasure by blowing him a kiss ;-)

Did anyone catch what Bruno said that had to be apologised. I must have missed that.

I am watching Takes Two every night, and am getting slightly niggled that, in my opinion. the Cliftons are being pushed to the fore all the time.

When there is an explantion, it is always them two.

Maybe its just me.

I'm not at all keen on this series and I may stop watching it.

There is not a stand-out couple, in my opinion. There are poor dancers and the others are much of a muchness.

The format is starting to look tired as are a couple of the judges, and the antics of the presenters are so juvenile.

Sad to say, since I have enjoyed the show, that I think the whole thing could do with a re-vamping.

'Emma' Report 5 Oct 2016 13:42

I believe she has been given the all clear
to carry on dancing.

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 5 Oct 2016 13:25

I admire her courage to go through with it all & i think the right person went - even if he was nicer. He wasn't really a dancer and she did quite well if she wasn't suppose to dance.

Everyone knows its Saturday night & not live on the Sunday so I don't know why they pretend - its silly when there are so many Spoiler alerts around.

The ones i want to get rid of wont go till nearer the ends - mores the pity - good dancers but zero personality.

AnninGlos Report 3 Oct 2016 17:49

Apparently she was advised not to dance on Saturday by medics. She has so many things wrong with her that I am surprised she was allowed to enter at all

Annx Report 3 Oct 2016 16:18

Yes that rule doesn't seem fair to me either. It's sad she had such traumatic times, as anyone would, leading to her double mastectomy and I commend her determination and courage to to try and carry on, but the fact is, neither of them got that second chance, with advice from the judges, to 'up' their game in a dance off. Like AnnC I doubt she will be fit enough next week. How long did the 'experts' say she should rest I wonder. I doubt they will have advised training all this week. :-S

'Emma' Report 3 Oct 2016 13:45

Agree with AnninGlos, MrM and AnnC.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 2 Oct 2016 21:58

I agree Ann - she should have dropped out. What if she's not fit to perform next week? She should have known the risks she was taking after such drastic surgery

I thought Ed Balls was great - think we all expected him to go first

MR_MAGOO

MR_MAGOO Report 2 Oct 2016 21:43

If you can't dance then you should not expect to go through.

Bet she was feeling better 24 hrs later but as it is recorded after Sat night she was still injured.

Let's see what happens in the next few days.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 2 Oct 2016 19:58

Oh, sorry I don't think that was fair at all, they need to look at that rule and change it.. She should have just dropped out and he should have gone through.

Only a few more minutes to go before we find out who is getting the push.

My two pet dislikes (I cannot use the word hate, its silly) are likely to go nearer the final, I shall have to just grit my teeth when I watch them!
