Eric hadn't been well and he always worried about the show. The producer realised that one of the sketches wasn't working and so did Eric so to pacify him and stop he worrying he lied and said he had something and he'd talk to them the next day about it.

The producer didn't know what he was going to do and driving home heard The Stripper on the car radio. It was going through his mind as he got home. His wife gave him dinner but asked what he wanted for breakfast in case she could make anything that night and mentioned how noisy some of her gadgets were. Bingo he had it. He phoned the musical director straight away and told him he wanted The Stripper music in the morning.

A brilliant sketch born - heard it when the director was interviewed on a radio programme - he's also dead now.
