It´s getting closer now, so I am thinking what is going to go in my case ??

orders please for smokes and booze. As I need to fit in some clothes I have to limit the bottles to 6 may push 7 ltrs. remember 1ltr = 1kg. I can only bring if I can find in plastic bottles
Smokes are about the same price as last year I believe, they aren´t weighty just bulky so 800 is my limit.

Nearly all of Hubbies family are from just across the river, hence the reason for London this year :-D

Lets hope the trains are running properly Shirley, or we may have to get on the bus through to where they are not working on the track. Rainham station has been shut of a weekend recently, but I did notice it was open this morning, well the gates were anyway, and I didn't notice any buses waiting to transport passengers. Will need to check into it closer to the date love. But we will be there by hook or by crook, and we shall have to look out for Jill as she comes up from the coast somewhere.

If its Meeee ,then I live in Kent ,same place as Mo ,so will be coming up to Victoria by train ;-)

Unless you pay a fortune, nowhere seems very good, to be honest, Uzzi but at least the ones I have chosen have the free cancellation option.
It's such a shame that those lovely houses are divided into rabbit hutches and sad that the 'hoteliers' don't seem to take pride in their properties.

My great grandfather from Buckinghamshire, who was a stonemason, must have lived and worked in Pimlico or nearby in the 1870s as two of his children were born there. It will be interesting to be in the area.

I am hoping the Grapevine isn´t as bad as the reviews, but staying 6 days it worked out the cheapest that had en-suite and wifi in the rooms. I just couldn´t pay for 2 nights the same as I pay for a week in Sheffield. So the hotel from hell it is. :-0 :-D

What about Shirley?

I have a coach ticket for Friday afternoon till Sunday afternoon but haven't booked the Grapevine as I couldn't face it. Have a booking at 2 different places that look a bit better, but can cancel whichever one I don't want a couple of days before, or both if there are problems here. One is just round the corner on St George's Drive and the other further along Warwick Way. With the way my luck goes and things are here with K's father, temporarily in an interim care home till somewhere else found, I may have to change my plans at the last minute almost, hence having the free cancellation option. Coach only cost £12.50 return so not worried about losing it if plans go wrong.

I will let you know details of eta etc nearer the time. I'm looking forward to the change of scene and company

Me, you Stray and Joy I think oh Lolly will have to but haven´t heard if she has booked the hotel from hell yet Wend, Mo and Lea have chickened out and are traveling on the days.

How many people are stopping over?

It´s going to be fab to be in a new place with old friends and meeting new ones.

Aww ya don´t have to blush, I was only having a mad one as I have also planned what I need to do in the next few weeks before I do a runner for a few days and I suddenly thought I had less time. At my age time matters :-D :-D ;-)
