IRELAND'S 2 ANTHEMS
A SOLDIER’S SONG We'll sing a song, a soldier's song, With cheering rousing chorus, As round our blazing fires we throng, The starry heavens o'er us; Impatient for the coming fight, And as we wait the morning's light, Here in the silence of the night, We'll chant a soldier's song. Chorus: Soldiers are we whose lives are pledged to Ireland; Some have come from a land beyond the wave. Sworn to be free, No more our ancient sire land Shall shelter the despot or the slave. Tonight we man the gap of danger In Erin's cause, come woe or weal "Mid cannons" roar and rifles peal, We'll chant a soldier's song.
In valley green, on towering crag, Our fathers fought before us, And conquered 'neath the same old flag That's proudly floating o'er us. We're children of a fighting race, That never yet has known disgrace, And as we march, the foe to face, We'll chant a soldier's song.
IRU's IRELAND'S CALL
Ireland's Call
Come the day and come the hour Come the power and the glory We have come to answer Our Country's call From the four proud provinces of Ireland
Ireland, Ireland Together standing tall Shoulder to shoulder We'll answer Ireland's call
From the mighty Glens of Antrim From the rugged hills of Galway From the walls of Limerick And Dublin Bay From the four proud provinces of Ireland
Ireland, Ireland Together standing tall Shoulder to shoulder We'll answer Ireland's call
Hearts of steel And heads unbowing Vowing never to be broken We will fight, until We can fight no more From the four proud provinces of Ireland
Ireland, Ireland Together standing tall Shoulder to shoulder We’ll answer Ireland’s Call We’ll answer Ireland’s Call
not all verses are sung at games

The Welsh team of the early 70s came out here and played the Army and RAF teams for early season practice. Think it was a jolly really.
Get the RAF to fly you out and put you up. Get 2 teams who are nowhere near as good as you and spend a week/fortnight training in the good weather right near the sea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They took their training seriously as it went on into the night, mainly arm lifting. It was obviously to strengthen the forearm and biceps. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

What a better way to rouse up the Wales Fans for this afternoon's game!
Yma O Hyd written by Singer/ Songwriter/ Actor/ Political Activist Dafydd Iwan
His mother was my Welsh Teacher in Grammar School! :-D
YMA O HYD means STILL HERE
The words of the chorus translate to
Still Here, We are still here, despite everyone and everything, despite everyone and everything, despite everyone and everything .... WE ARE STILL HERE!
Wales Fans hope that they can still say that at the end of the Six Nations Championship 2016 :-) :-) :-) :-)
