Joy - we were going to have a roast beef dinner, but decided to have that on Sunday instead :-D
J has taken Grandson home, so we're all on out Tod again :-D

We were half expecting him, Joy :-D - His girlfriend lives in the village, and our daughter said he'd probably turn up :-D :-D

There were fireworks somewhere in the village, but we watched the very spectacular ones along the Thames on the telly :-D

New Years Day always seems so flat - an anticlimax to the Christmas festivities :-)

We did enjoy the party, thank you. Someone nearby had fireworks so we watched.

We had plenty to eat, drink, lots of various types of music and dancing and ended the night playing riotous games - boys versus girls. :-S you ladies will be pleased with the outcome. :-D

We walked home (about seven or eight minutes) and what a lovely, dry, crisp night it was. Icy puddles, a little frost and taxis dashing along with revellers. :-D

There were still lights on in some houses when we walked home. :-S some hardy folk still celebrating methinks. :-D :-D :-D
