Hiya Emma :-) :-) <3 <3 :-D :-D Your supermarkets in Aberdeen sell Pease pudding in tins made by Foresight. Lovely in a ham sandwich, Price 40p, 45p and 75p. I buy pease pudding made by our local company called DICKENS.

JL - I have honey mustard glazed a gammon joint once before but I don't bother now. I now only simmer it and use the water as a stock to make a soup. I like cold gammon sandwiches smothered in English mustard. mmmm!!!!!

GP, it is a gammon joint I have but I always call it ham as it is still sourced from porky pig. :-S

You have to make up your own mind Sunbeam, as only you know what you want this site to do for you. :-)

Very windy now, isn't it - and the temperature has taken a dive too, shivering me timbers :-D

Here are the third, fourth and fifth verses of another Carol that seem to fit today's world. Fit your own belief into it everyone rather than perceive any badness there.

And in despair I bowed my head:
'There is no peace on earth,' I said,
'For hate is strong, and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.'

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
'God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men.'

'Til, ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!

Never cooked a ham joint before JL. I've simmered a gammon joint in the past and it seems to stay moist longer.

GR have informed me that my subscription is due at the end of the month - what should I do. Decisions, decisions. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-( :-( :-( :-(

In the middle of preparing veggies and I thought I'd ask about ham.

I am boiling mine in coke and water first because three people have told me that was the best ham they had tasted when I did it twice a couple of years ago. However, I always roast it for the final 40 to 45 minutes, usually covered in honey or maple syrup. This year I have spotted a recipe for roasting it covered in marmalade, mustard and brown sugar.

My question to you all is, has anyone roasted a ham in this way and, if so, did it go down well with people?

Here's another.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth,
My two front teeth, oh my two front teeth.
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth
Then I can wish you Merry Christmas.

:-D :-D :-D

Pavlova cooling, sis and OH had a drink and mince tart and I'm having a coffee before I prepare the vegies for dinner tonight - always a special time in our house.

:-D :-D

Dashing through the snow
On a one-horse open sleigh,
O'er the fields we go,
Laughing all the way.
Bells on bob-tail ring,
Making spirits bright;
Oh, what fun it is to sing
A sleighing song tonight.

Jingle bells, Batman smells,
Robin ran away.
He lost his pants in the middle of France
And found them on EBay.

:-D :-D :-S :-S :-S
