My grandmother got them........ and fixed them. Her "cure-all"........... hit them with a bible!

I hope nobody gold granny they had a headache.

I've had them on finger joints and managed to get rid of them..... not with a bible........ get a pen tube (are they still made?) and push at the ganglion with the narrow end.

I had a large one on my ring finger, I couldn't get rid of it.... doc made an appointment for me to get it removed; I woke up the morning of the appointment and it had disappeared!

I had one on the top of my foot a few years ago. It was catching on my shoe so I had it removed. It still took a while to completely go then a couple of years ago I got one in the same place on the other foot! That one was getting quite big and noticable so the doctor tried to drain it with a syringe......not very successful! Then all of a sudden it just disappeared of it's own accord like the doc said it might. :-)

AnnC, take yourself off to the docs and give him a change from everyone else coughing and sneezing all over him at the moment. He will probably make you his bestest friend at least until the spluttering season is over <3

Our daughter used to have one on her wrist. Although she had a 'referral', it eventually went down by itself. It reappear but has gone again. Bashing it with a Bible don't work :-(

More recently I had a lump/swelling on the outside of my thigh. The radiologist diagnosed a ganglion cyst! They did offer to remove it for cosmetic purposes but at my age, whose going to notice? The only time it might be on display is by a swimming pool with other oldies with less than perfect bodies.
It's gone down quite a lot since the scan. The suggestion was that it was caused by a fall some months ago.

The GP could arrange to have yours removed if its causing discomfort or embarrassment.

Oh, hang on........I have just googled.

Apparently....If you get someone to stub their fag out on it, that works well too.

BARB!!!
