‘American English’ is an intriguing language which I have wanted to learn/understand for some time. My neighbour suggested I watch ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ (ITV2).

Usually I’m fairly good at understanding British regional accents - including Welsh. But nearly two hours of American waffle with loads of body posing & glinting white teeth - my head hurts. I think I’m going insane.

Oscar Wilde’s description of Britain & America as two great countries divided by a common language contains some truth as well as wit. :-S

My workmen are busy and guess what they have found a
pipe which drains the water from my neighbour's ground
and fills up mine :-0 :-|
Well I remember when the work was done years ago but
don't remember a pipe going in so, that explains the appearance
over the years of a swimming pool appearing in our garden after
heavy rain. No problem says my man he is putting in a pipe or two
for us :-D :-D

Was sitting watching Farrah mouthing off from the panel...that Ayselene woman was on and told her to ****** off home back to the States...Farrah called her an old hag and A picked up her glass to throw...then the screen went to BB eye :-0 :-0 :-0

Jeesh...they are supposed to be adults :-( :-(

Underarm sprays - Links; Lynks or Lynx. What a choice! No more bother from pesky flies while out cycling along the country roads.

Mind you, no product can overpower the distinctive smell of freshly spread slurry. And the flies anxiously hover over the product looking for attendant worms to devour.

Farmers say that the smell of slurry is good for opening up the nasal airways. I cannot disagree but I usually carry a clothes peg just in case.

My roofer man is doing a grand job on my garage and I aim to clear the rubbish, I think it's rubbish from the back garden before it gets too cold for me to get out there.

Decided to write my overseas Xmas cards out and get them off by surface mail - economising as I have quite a few to send.

All done and now putting kettle on before I get ready to head for the Post Office - that's a laugh as it is now situated in the papershop.
