Was just thinking Gin..they brought a new CR-V out with a 1600 engine...it's like an Eco type thing...cheaper tax & insurance. Well worth going to have a look if your changing. I had a look at a few dealers for this type of car and I think you get a lot for your money with Honda :-D :-D

Am going to make us a drink and watch BB....so will speak to you tomorrow.

We did in the early years...think we had 3 escorts 1 fiesta. Pride and Joy was OH's 3ltr fuel injection Capri.....he ain't into cars anymore and leaves it to me to go change it...he's your Transit man now :-D :-D

We've always had Fords for some reason. I had about 10 Fiestas over the years, now I've got a Fusion. I love it, but they've discontinued the model :-(

My own car was sitting in the driveway when we got home. I could have sworn it was smirking as if to say - "You should have taken me!"

Strangely enough, we use it for most day to day trips! :-D ;-)

Thought that might be the problem...brakes these days don't usually fail...it's always something to do with with the cars servo.

Well It would have sent me into a spin as well Gin....you have to think fast when that happens.

Ann - it wasn't a case of pressing down on the brakes and nothing happening - the brakes wouldn't depress at all! It looks like it was the master servo system that had gone. It's not an old car, and it's still under warranty, thank goodness.

Good thing that J is a good driver - dread to think what would have happened with me behind the wheel! :-0

OMG Gin.....as long as no one was hurt that's the main thing. You don't hear of many cars doing that these days ...did the AA man say why?

Not the day we planned! :-0

We got halfway there, came to a roundabout, J tried to pull up behind another car, and the brakes failed! He managed to swerve to avoid the car in front, then we limped carefully off the road to a cafe. J phoned the AA and we were towed back to the Ford garage in Kings Lynn. There were no courtesy cars available 'til tomorrow, so the AA man gave us a lift home.
So, we never got to meet my pal :-( - so disappointing for us both :-( :-(

We've cheered ourselves up by going out for a meal for tonight, so that was something
