I found this out by a very round-about route.

If anybody on here likes to hear a heavy academic history lecture they might be interested in the Ford Lectures.

I think they are public lectures but they are given by a guest lecturer to one of the Oxford colleges and they have been recorded.

Should you wish to, you can listen to them on-line.

Just Google 'Ford Lectures' and you will find them.
