Sounds like you had a pleasant experience at the dentist Wend! :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

I'm going to see Paul Jones and Manfred Mann at Bury St. Edmunds next month - I always go when he's in the area. I did have a dance with him in 1967 :-D ;-)

Hiya Gin - I agree with you about Paul Jones. I went to see Manfred Mann at the Marquee, Soho in 1964 - boy, those were the days. I used to go up to Soho from Worthing on a Saturday night on the back of my boyfriend's motorbike, plus a few friends (not on the same bike, ha ha), and we'd wander round to see what we fancied listening to. We just walked into the Marquee sometimes (didn't need a ticket) and saw some great bands ... The Animals and Freddie and the Dreamers are others I recall. Most of those still alive look like zombies now, but I suppose I do too, ha ha!

Innocent days - no drugs (there were, we know, but not visibly on the streets) and no fear of being mugged or attacked. Goodness, how life has changed since then. :-(

Got on fine at the dentist thanks Mersey - he's a very good-looking Greek young man and I just lay back and let him do his business :-D :-D :-D

House of the Rising Sun?

I saw them a few years ago in King's Lynn. Eric Burdon sounded just as good, but he had got a bit -er - portly ;-) ;-)

I've been to see a few of these 60's groups and singers in the last few years. It's so funny to see these pensioners rocking it up on guitars and drums! :-D :-D :-D :-D

The only one who still looks good is Paul Jones from Manfred Mann - still a dish :-D ;-)
