SO WHO ARE IN THE RUNNING TO BE THE WINNERS OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP?
At present there are 3 teams on 6 points each- ENGLAND, IRELAND and WALES. So each of these teams have a chance of winning the competition.
All 3 teams have 6 overall points AS ALL 3 HAVE LOST 1 GAME EACH. So to decide a winner when teams tie in this way, a POINTS DIFFERENCE comes into play.
POINTS DIFFERENCE: Points difference is worked out by deducting the amount of points scored against your team (through tries, goals etc) from the amount of points your team has amassed.
When teams have tied, having won or lost the same number of games, the winner will be the team with the HIGHEST POINTS DIFFERENCE!
WHAT ARE YOUR TEAMS' POSITIONS IN THE SIX NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP?
1/ ENGLAND ..... Played 4; Won 3; Lost 1; Points Difference +37; TOTAL POINTS 6
2/ IRELAND ....... Played 4; Won 3; Lost 1; Points Difference +33; TOTAL POINTS 6
3/ WALES .......... Played 4; Won 3; Lost 1; Points Difference +12; TOTAL POINTS 6
4/ FRANCE ........ Played 4; Won 2; Lost 2; Points Difference +22; TOTAL POINTS 4
5/ ITALY .............. Played 4; Won 1; Lost 3; Points Difference -79; TOTAL POINTS 2
6/ SCOTLAND .... Played 4; Won 0; Lost 4; Points Difference -25; TOTAL POINTS 0
SO WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE WALES?
Well, Wales certainly could win. This could be through a number of ways.
TO WIN, WALES WOULD FIRST OF ALL HAVE TO BEAT ITALY.
If Wales beat Italy, but England and Ireland lose their matches... WALES WILL WIN!
BUT!!!! ..... IF ALL 3 TEAMS LOSE THEIR GAMES... THEN FRANCE WILL BECOME A CONTENDER! :-0 :-0
or... IF WALES, ENGLAND AND IRELAND ALL WIN THEIR RESPECTIVE GAMES...... .........THEN WALES HAS TO SLAUGHTER ITALY, NOT JUST WIN!
Wales would have to amass so many points against Italy, that they would overtake England and Ireland on Point Difference.
Before the games begin... ENGLAND IS 25 POINTS AHEAD OF WALES, and IRELAND 21.
TOMORROW WILL BE VERY INTERESTING!:-D :-D :-D
SO TOMORROW..
.... SWITCH ON YOUR TELLY... THEN TUNE INTO RADIO JEM ;-) :-D :-D

I HAVE JUST FINISHED WATCHING WALES v IRELAND ALL OVER AGAIN! :-D
WHAT A FANTASTIC MATCH IT WAS!
The Sunday Newspapers were saying that this was "ONE OF WALES' BEST UNDER WARREN GATLAND!"
I would go further and assert that it's not "one of the best" but THE BEST! Especially in terms of DEFENSIVE PLAY... Congratulations SHAUN EDWARDS (Wales' Defence Coach)
Both teams played fantastically, and gave us a very entertaining 80 minutes of very exciting play! :-)
WALES MADE A TOTAL OF 250 TACKLES :-0
WITH "COOL HAND LUKE" ... WALES' LUKE CHARTERIS ... ... MAKING A SIX NATIONS RECORD OF 31 TACKLES! :-)
Other Wales players made the following tackles:
SAM WURBURTON ..... 23 TACKLES TAULUPE FALATAU .... 23 TACKLES ALUN-WYN JONES ...... 21 TACKLES SCOTT BALDWIN ......... 20 TACKLES
IRELAND MADE A TOTAL OF 105 TACKLES
JAMIE ROBERTS - MADE SOME BIG CARRIES, prevented an Irish Try by Tommy Bowe, including all-important try-saver on Tommy Bowe, AND 15 TACKLES.
LEIGH HALFPENNY AND HIS GOLDEN BOOTS...Consistent as ever :-)

SCRUM V's SHAUN'S SPOTLIGHT on WALES v IRELAND last Saturday (Shaun Holley, Rugby Analyst)
"Wales outgunned Ireland from the start of the game, reclaiming the ball from the first Kick-Off...."
"... Their attention to detail around the ball NEGATED the Irish threat.... Wales MANHANDLED them, allowing for good speed of ball...."
".... Wales won the race to the ball, executing a variety of techniques ( we have a plan b, c, d and e at last ;-) ;-) :-D ) to deal with Ireland"
"Wales played with WIT AND TEMPO... CHARTERIS WAS EVERYWHERE! ... they changed their tactics from the sideline, showing VARIETY AND CREATIVITY ... but at the same time, the same URGENCY at the breakdown, like SAMSON LEE and GETHIN JENKINS"
"Wales pressured Ireland at THE LINEOUT, even on their own lines"
DEFENCE "EVERY WALES PLAYER THREW THEMSELVES AT THE IRISH!... They kept their defensive line intact.... "
"DISCIPLINE, ORGANISATION and PHYSICALITY ON THE DAY WAS IMMENSE!"
Shaun Holley rounded his Spotlight Feature off with this comment
"WARREN GATLAND AND ALL HIS MEN DID THE NATION PROUD IN THIS VICTORY!"
I THINK ALL OF WALES' FANS HEARTILY AGREE :-) :-) :-)
