Morning Dizzi :-)

Hope all goes well today with your appts.

I start to flag in the afternoon but then I get 2nd wind. They are all such good company that it's late before we realise it.

Had a good night last night. Tonight it's the going away do for Gerri and Alan and Paul and Nicola. There's going to be 11 eating but a couple are coming in to have a drink with us prior to us eating, they have a small child so it's a drink then back home with daughter.

Russ and Brenda will be back with us from tomorrow after they take Gerri and Alan to Larnaca airport. Russ and Brenda go back to UK the middle of next week. They return early June to dog and cat sit for a friend so we've got a few weeks before it starts up again. They are staying until September then.

Bedding out on the line and now I've got to do the ironing from yesterday :-(

Oh well, can't all be party time - can it? :-D

Morning Dizzi :-)

Went to bed at 1 am. Didn't go out last night. I'm afraid the bonfires were more like bonsmoke as we had 2 big downpours during the evening. Bangers all went off though.

Up just before 8. The 3rd lot of washing now in and two lots out drying. It got down to 8 C during the night so only 14 C at the moment. Cold breeze again.

Have watched the Chinese Grand Prix. Very much a parade for the top drivers. Poor Jensen Button is not in a very good car at the moment and he had a little bit of a bump.

Have upstairs to do today as our visitors return Tuesday evening and may want to bring things back tomorrow. That's why I'm washing today

Out this evening as there's entertainment at the club.

Two lots of friends on holiday out here are going back on Tuesday so we're having a bit of a do tomorrow night.

It's hard to keep up but we manage it :-D.

Morning Dizzi, :-)

Had a good time last night. I was up early, I did some washing, very cold putting it out. Temp was only 12C and there's a biting wind. I then watched qualifying in the formula 1 from China before opening my laptop.

We are now listening to Treasure Hunt from Radio York and having a cup of tea. It's very quiet at the moment as it's Easter weekend here. Tonight at midnight it's bonfires and fireworks, tomorrow it'll be non stop eating for the locals.

Looks like you had a warm day yesterday as you easy beat us but looks different today. Wish it would warm up here we're all complaining about how cold it is.

Shame you haven't found something worth a small fortune to auction but I hope you hear some good news on what you left there. :-)

Morning Dizzi :-)

I know the feeling. I didn't sleep properly for years, it made me feel like a Zombie. Used to go to sleep ok but kept waking up every hour or so never got any quality sleep. Thought it was the menopause as that's when it started. Turned out I had sleep apnoea. That's been sorted so I'm ok now. You have my sympathy because I know how you feel because of sleep deprivation.

We had a young man, born in the village I last lived in, who liked to acquire other people's property. He got a short prison sentence for steeling from ours and the next village. He decided he'd better live in a bigger place so he wasn't known when he got out of jail. What he forgot was it was policed by the same station as his home village. Burglaries went up in that area so the police pulled him in and searched his place. No stolen things there. Last time he'd hired a garage and kept the stolen items there until he could sell them. The police questioned him for a little while then let him go. He thought he'd got away with it, so confident was he that he went straight to where he had stashed the goods. Problem for him was the police were smarter than him and put a tail on him. He was caught when he opened up his new rented garage. Last I heard he was still in jail. Some are so stupid but we must be thankful for that as that's how they get caught.

You don't know the Hatton Garden heist people do you? :-D They may have a few pounds to share. :-)

How did you get on at the auction place?

Morning Dizzi.

I used to listen to 5 Live during the night when I had problems, it had the same effect. Started listening then after a few minutes I'd be asleep. I'd wake up to them talking about a different subject then off to sleep again, heard lots of starts to discussions and endings of other discussions but never a discussion all the way through :-)

Didn't see the sun once yesterday, today it's sunny but the wind is very blustery and we're getting the hibiscus flowers ripped off the hedge. :-( It's 17 C so you could be warmer than us today. :-S

Morning Dizzi :-)

Chinese was great. Out tonight now, so at the moment got tonight, tomorrow, Friday, Sunday and Monday out. :-S

Off shopping in a moment. Cat sitting is finished as neighbours came back sometime last night. You'll never guess, we were out at the time ;-)

Haven't seen the sun yet today. 18 C with cool wind and dark, heavy clouds :-(. Maybe better tomorrow.

Hope you find something worth selling, never been to a proper auction. Been to an auction of donated things for charity with the odd funny item like bidding for someone to clean the house or make an evening meal.

I know auction houses make those selling and buying pay them a commission. That's what I call greedy.

Hope you have an enjoyable time at the auction, when do you think you'll make your first million :-D

Afternoon Dizzi :-)

Hope all ok with your x-ray.

Yes, still racing around going out with our friends. Got to deliver a birthday card this afternoon before we go out. There's 8 of us at the Chinese buffet, it's cooked by an ex Gurkha. His curries are great.

The outside of the house needs sweeping and cleaning down but as all the vegetation is being cut down a week today we won't bother until then. :-D

Morning Dizzi :-)

Glad you had a better night. I managed 3 lots of washing, ironed it and put it all# away yesterday so I've given myself the day off today :-D.

I don't think we're going out tonight. Feel very full after all the meals we've had recently so think I'll do an omelette for tea. Out for a Chinese tomorrow. Out Thursday and Friday so far that's all I know. It's hard work here ;-)

Don't do too much and give yourself a reward :-D

Morning Dizzi :-)

It's 18 C here, I'm washing stacks of clothes at the moment. I've done 3 loads. That's what happens when you go out in the evenings. Out again tonight. It's breezy again and that's cool.

People are really moaning now. All the locals are saying it always picks up after Easter, their Easter is next weekend so we'll see.

A few tourists about. They stand out like sore thumbs. They are in shorts sleeved tops and shorts whilst we're all in trousers and jackets. :-D

Some tourists have gone into the swimming pools or sunbathe in swim outfits - brrrrr.

Orange blossom everywhere, if it stays on in the wind it looks like we'll have pretty trees all decorated with oranges for Christmas. Our tree is full of flower and the bees are everywhere. Tried to weed under the tree and the bees objected to my presence so gave it up. I'm not arguing with a hoard of angry bees. I'll let the do their job - weeding can wait.

This is the view last autumn from our bedroom across the orange grove and part of the village. http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/keepsafe/asset/edit/14459303

Morning Dizzi :-)

Glad you got back OK. Yesterday started lovely and warm. 17 C but no wind. I went out and washed down the table and chairs on the front patio to have breakfast out there. Got my breakfast, sat down and the wind started. Got straight up and went indoors :-( .I was looking forward to breakfast in the sun.

I'm feeding 2 of next door's cats. Mozart was sat on the patio waiting for the shutters to open this morning. He was telling me all about it. He wasn't about yesterday and he may have missed out on food. He wasn't about last night so couldn't have been too hungry as he often greets us when we've been out. He really did tell it how it is this morning :-D. Soon went quiet when I fed him here and whilst he ate I went and fed the little female we call Skitty Kitty. She's always been very skittish that's how she came by her nickname. She came to be fed as soon as she heard me, so there are 2 happy cats. :-)

Wonder if Mozart will be waiting tomorrow morning. Hope when they return he'll go back to asking the neighbours for food.

Hazy sky and 18 C but blustery so cooler with the wind chill.

Have a good Easter Saturday. :-)
