Good Afternoon Roll Callers :-) :-) <3
Well, we have had awful weather here for the last few days. Torrential rain and strong winds.
Grandson 1 and friends have gone on another camping expedition IN THIS! A different camp site this time. His stepfather took him today at midday, and will no doubt have erected the tent for them. It's giving 40 mph winds tonight! :-0 :-0 I hope the tent stays put, because I will not be fetching him in the middle of the night!
I will be going to the hospital tomorrow first thing for my Pre-op Assessment. They will be testing among other things for suitability for the anaesthetic. Then they will send me the appointment for the biopsy/ op.
I have been "Tresearching" again the last week, since I took out my £1 Month Membership to Ancestry. Tresearching was a term I came up with accidentally when my finger hit the T and the R button at the same time when typing in Researching. Apt I thought!!!!:-D :-D
I have had lots of what they call "hints", which have helped fill out some info and in some cases another generation back. However, most of the actual records were either unavailable or just transcription, whereas I GOT THE RECORDS (including a lot of ORIGINAL records) ON GR :-D :-D I LOVE GR<3 I don't know why some members run it down so much! :-S :-S
I have spent most of the time putting information on members' Public Trees, with c&p'd record transcriptions to back my information up! I have also re-contacted a distant cousin on there. She's not on GR any more, and is gradually copying her tree out from Ancestry to FamilySearch, which is a free site.
:-)PAT Ooooooooooo!!! :-D :-D :-D I now have a mental image of you with your high kicks and pompoms :-D :-D I'm just hoping I don't get my op appointment for during the Rugby World Cup. I shall not be at all amused :-| :-| :-|
:-)KANDJ Do you know, I said exactly the same thing to OH the other day, about the nights drawing in already! :-0 :-0 :-0 It doesn't seem possible does it! I hope we get some good weather for a while to build us up before winter sets in again!
I hope you don't get any more cramp for a while, it's really awful.

Hello All
Rained during the night and has continued for most of today. Doesn't feel like July, more like Autumn in fact the tree at the top of the road has lost some leaves which have blown down and into our drive....... it's far too early, so what is all that about??
Jem. no more night cramps (yet) sshhh, don't lets temp fate! Murphy's Law seems to be following me around just lately.
I hope all goes as planned for your pre-op tests and that it will be straight forward.
Your grandson and friends will enjoy the camping and not worry about the bad weather. I'd hate it and my old bones couldn't cope with roughing it but the youngsters will have the time of their lives whilst you keep awake worrying lol.
Pat, I hope you and your friends are out and about having fun in the 30degree temp Can you send a little warmth over here please? I had the heating on last night and have just clicked it back on again now as we both feel chilly (old bones ha ha).
Hope everyone has a good nights rest and enjoy whatever is planned for tomorrow.

Good afternoon all
Weather not sure what to do today. Just seen a break in the cloud and it's stopped raining, so I have just pegged the washing out (it's bound to rain again now methinks).
Jem, thinking of you and hope all went well for your pre-op assessment this morning. I also hope that grandson 1 and pals survived the windy weather in their tent last night
Pat, Has the DNA result arrived for yourself and your husband yet? I hope there are not too many surprises in the reports. Enjoy your high temperatures and being out and about with your visitors. Hope hubby back is holding up with seatings.
I hope all who look in will have a good day today.

Afternoon all. :-)
Have a few minutes before I have to go out.
Just been ironing so am having a drink before climbing into the shower. It's 34 C today, visitors are on the beach near here whilst I catch up. Having hair cut in an hour. Went out last night another great meal. It's a Chinese tonight up the club.
John's funeral yesterday, people were asked to wear pink. Guard of honour from 2 Para his old regiment. Will get more details soon as my ex next door neighbours fly into Paphos tomorrow.
Kandj I've only had cramp twice and that was a couple of years back when I had a severe chest infection and needed 2 courses of strong antibiotics. During the second course I got the cramp 2 nights running,a known side effect of this tablet. OH does have problems so eats half a banana with his breakfast so I finish it off as it wouldn't last long out here. We have to keep the bananas in the fridge anyway as they go over so fast in the heat. OH's back is being rested during the afternoons so he can cope with the seats - well that's what he tells me ;-)
No DNA results yet. Getting excited though as I know it's close.
Jem hope all went OK today, let us know. I've had those pre op tests, if you're ill why do they test you to see if you're fit :-D :-S
Hope you all have a good evening and night and the weather picks up for you and Mr Murphy's left you Kandj............. :-) <3

Hello All
Been having a clear the clutter day today. Two bin bags are in the car boot to drop off at the charity shop tomorrow. It is a good feeling to have some space, but won't last very long.
Pat, that is sure to have been such a traumatic funeral service for John's family and friends. You never think to go on holiday and have a terrorist shoot innocent people.
I hope you enjoyed your Chinese meal. Did you meet your friends at the club? It's been quite cool today. I have had the central heating on twice already this week. I have to keep reminding myself that it's meant to be the middle of Summer.
Jem, I hope that you are feeling alright after the pre-op assessment. Is grandson 1 home yet after camping out with friends? Is your granddaughter behaving better?
Have a good evening and wishing everyone a happy day for tomorrow.

Morning all :-)
A quiet few minutes, I'm the only 1 up.
Kandj we have our friends stopping with us prior to going back home on Monday. We all went to the club for Chinese and saw other friends there. Only the 4 of us went out to a taverna last night. Tonight we're going to another taverna and the four of us are meeting friends there. Then if OH's back is ok we're going up the club for karaoke night as it's such fun. They have some good singers amongst the ex pats. OH is taking it easy during the day so he can enjoy the evenings.
Our ex next door neighbours arrived in Paphos last night. We're going to see them tomorrow morning and arrange an evening out with them. Paphos is about 45 mins drive. It's mainly on the motorway and even at busy times there isn't that much traffic on there.
Tomorrow night we are out with different friends. They have their son in law here with grandchildren. He's escorted the children out and staying a few days. We are getting together for a meal as they want to say goodbye to the people staying with us. Their grandchildren are staying most of the summer hols then their daughter is flying out for a few days and escorting the children back.
Our daughter has told me about the weekend and has confirmed she will be coming out here in October with our son. :-D She'll organise him. She is 4 years younger than him and he hasn't won an argument with her since she was 5. :-D She started telling him off when she was 3 when yet again he cut the corner on the way to school and went across the grass with a keep off sign. Before I could yet again reprimand him she chimed up with "How many times do you have to be told to keep off that grass." Had great difficulty keeping a straight face to tell him off.
Must tell you how she got revenge for him tormenting her. She was 18 months old and he was being cheeky to her, nothing nasty just moving her toys and hiding what she was playing with. He was never nasty to her it was always in fun. He however thought it was funny to keep on doing it. I told him that she'd get her own back 1 day and he should stop as it was now irritating her. One evening we were all in the sitting room having a cup of tea and watching TV. OH and myself were sat on chairs with the coffee table in front of us. Son was sat on the floor watching TV and daughter was wandering around the room. She walked up to the coffee table and picked up a large mug, nothing unusual as she liked draining them, she loved tea. This time she turned and walked over to her brother lifted the mug and swung the mug in a deliberate act right across the back of her brother's head. She really hurt him and he was shocked that she could do that. We had such a hard time keeping a straight face as we told her off. He didn't move her toys again very likely worried what she would do next time. :-D
We are out Sunday up the club and it's the last night for our friends staying here so we'll have a get together with anyone who wants to come. Monday evening it's off to Paphos airport to get them there around 7 pm. Will try to get that the evening we go out for a meal with ex neighbours. We can drop 1 lot off and go 10 mins down the road and be at 2nd lots hotel. :-)
Jem hope all was ok with your check up. High kicks are very easy when you are semi prone on a settee ;-) Think I'll practise 2 kicks a day to get me fit for September, don't want to over do it. :-S
Have a good day all. Hope you get better weather today. It's 26 C and no sun as it's very cloudy which is strange for this time of the year. I'll try sending some warmth to you. I'll ask Mr Sun if I see him to hook himself onto a UK bound flight so he can shine for you. :-D

Hello All
Pat, I've read your posting and it made me feel tired just knowing all that you have got planned........ you certainly have got a lot of energy. Enjoy it all. Hope it all works well. Nice to know your daughter and son will be out visiting later in year.
26 degrees sounds good Pat. We have had usual heavy rain and chilly day again.
I watched a near neighbour fitting a weather vane today which is easily seen from our kitchen window. Now I only need to work out when it is going to be dry and can put the washing on the clothes line without worrying it might get wet.
We haven't seen any sight of the new people who have bought the bungalow in the road. They are sure to show soon and we will all be happy to make them welcome.
(((hugs))) for Jem. Have a good day tomorrow everyone.

Just a quick hello. Off to Paphos this morning to see ex neighbours. Out this evening. Friends that are staying are now meeting and saying goodbye to people in the evenings. :-(
DNA results starting to come in and you'll never guess - my maternal line is identical to my daughter's :-D, well proves I'm her mother. I have less Neanderthal in me, average is 2.7%, daughter 3.3% me 3.1%. It'll take a few days for it all to come through.
My certs arrived, I believe I've uncovered a bigamist as 1st husband seems to be alive when she remarries. Married at 18, marries again at 23 but states she's 20 and she then disappears as I can't trace her and new husband. May have emigrated. Will now go all out to find them.
Have a good day all. :-) <3

Hello again
A beautiful sunny day 21 degrees and meant to be another sunny day 23 degrees forecast tomorrow. It was so good to hang the washing outside and see bright blue sky and know the washing would dry for a change today.
Pat, I hope you are well and your OH's back is not too painful with all the meals out.
Jem, I hope that you are doing alright after the hospital assessment. I hope all goes well for you when you go into hospital for your operation. (((hugs))) for you for then.
The new neighbours have moved into our road. A huge removal van arrived this morning and lots of cars too, which I am guessing belonged to family or friends all keen to help get the new folk settled in. They certainly had a good dry day for it.
Wishing everyone a Good Night and sweet dreams for now.

Good Morning Roll Callers :-) :-) <3
Well, I was unable to sleep and have been up since about 5am! So I thought I'd better catch up with my posting! :-D So I've been to "Wales" (The Welsh Thread) so now it's time for flitting about between Cyprus and Yorkshire and anywhere in between! :-D :-D :-D
First of all, thank you, both of you, for your good wishes for my pre-op assessment at the hospital last Tuesday. It wasn't too bad, but I did feel a bit of an idiot when they expected me to remember names of consultants and all my health history in detail for the last 40 years! :-0 :-0
There were endless questions. I had an ECG. They checked my BP, Blood Oxygen levels, neck movement (spondylosis) etc.
The woman assessing me took my weight and then my height- I am now only 5 foot 8 when standing on my longest leg, so I must be about 5 foot 7 and a half-ish on my shorter leg! :-D I am no longer 5 foot 10 inches it would seem! :-D :-D
Then she sent me for a blood test to check iron levels and because I'm on thyroxine. Most of theses checks are to make sure that it is safe for the anaesthetic. I will either be having a General Anaesthetic or a Spinal injection. I think I will probably be having the General.
There was a queue for blood tests, so I bought a magazine and had toast and tea in the restaurant where they also have the number display for the blood test. It took nearly 2 hours for my turn, but at least it's now done. Now I have to wait for my op appointment.
I was advised to see my dentist, to make sure any crowns that are loose are stabilised. I have an appointment for that next Friday afternoon.
Also, the nurse told me I need to be on Acid Reflux tablets up until the op, as acid is bad for the anaesthetic and I get a lot, I had to see my own doctor Wednesday.
My Doctor also took my weight, and checked my BMI (Body Mass Index) which was right in the middle of the healthy weight range for my height.
After my hospital visit Tuesday, I decided in the afternoon to go and visit my sister. I am not a good visitor, so she was very surprised (and pleased) to see me. I took one of my Family History files, my mother's line, as she is my sister from our mother's second marriage. She was thrilled to see it, but there is so much to explain! So I started in modern day working backwards just a little, with the promise of making it a regular thing.
Grandson 1 came home from camping Wednesday afternoon. He enjoyed himself, but was very hungry, as they were unable to get much in the way of cooked food where they were on the Gower. He was very thankful that I had made 16 sandwiches for him to take :-D :-D :-D
Well, apart from trying to catch up on housework, that's my news this week :-D :-D :-D
:-)KANDJ Yes, it certainly is feeling like Autumn, We seem to have 1 or 2 pleasant days, and then back to coolish and/or rain and wind. :-( Pat needs to send some of her sunshine over to us methinks ;-) :-D
I'm glad you've not had any more night cramps since. I had cramp throughout the night last week. I will have to stock up on the bananas!
I hope your new neighbours are really nice people. :-)
:-)PAT What an exciting, fun life you have :-) I enjoy reading about your nights out :-) I hope your OH's back is not too bad at the moment :-)
I enjoyed reading your stories about your daughter and son when they were little :-D :-D Your daughter, in particular, sounds such a character :-D and so bright even as a toddler!
How exciting to have your DNA results back. Congratulations on being your daughter's Mum btw ;-) ;-) :-D :-D :-D
Your Family History find sounds fascinating. I'm sure you will enjoy researching that!
I have sent for 2 Certificates this week. One is my 2xG. Grandfather's Birth Certificate. I know who he is, but there are quite a few boys born over a 2/3 year period with the same name, and I would like to know exactly when he was born, as his details on his commemorative stone in the Churchyard differs from other established facts. He was lost at sea when he was in the Merchant Navy, and the stone was probably put up much later.
I also sent for my first Death Certificate. This is the Death of my Paternal Grandparents' first child, Margaret Ann, who died soon after her birth in 1915. I knew their first son died at 18 of TB, but this little girl had never been mentioned in the family, that I am aware of.
I first found out about her from a very, very, very distant cousin's tree! I shared my tree with her, and she added this child to hers. I was about to dispute it with her (this Gran had brought me up and I knew it was wrong!) when I thought I'd better check GR's records first! AND SHE WAS RIGHT! :-0 :-0 :-0 I even still doubted it when I sent for the Birth Certificate! What a surprise!
Sometimes, when you think you know everything, you don't look any further, and that's what I did. I only looked for my father and his known 4 Siblings!
Well, now I have filled an entire encyclopaedia ;-) I shall wish you both a very good day :-D :-D
~~~~~~~~~ to all looking in on Dizzi's Roll Call :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Love Jem <3
Hello All
Not sure how many people know that today 1st August is Yorkshire Day.
Our village has several Yorkshire flags on display. A white rose in centre with a plain blue background, and they make the main village street look very special.
In the Community Centre this evening there is a Yorkshire Day celebration evening. Brass band belting out traditional tunes for a good old fashioned sing-song. Pie and mash or traditional Yorkshire Pudding with vegetables and gravy is on the menu too A firework display is also planned to take place at 9pm, that will be good to watch. Sadly, we won't be joining in as we would normally do...... perhaps next year?? We forever live in hope.
We both were in amazed seeing the blue moon last night before going to bed. Of course it wasn't blue in colour, but it seemed to be big and very bright last night. We both were singing the old song......
Blue moon, you saw me standing alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own Blue moon, you knew just what I was there for You heard me saying a prayer for Someone I really could care for........ tra la la la la.
Jem. that's an early wake up time. I bet you have been weary today. We often have disturbed nights sleep and both feel shattered afterwards.
What a long wait for blood tests at your hospital. I am very lucky as my routine bloods are taken in a newly refurbished haem. clinic and it is usually all done in 10 minutes. Hubby is housebound and the Community Nurse calls regularly for him.
Your Grandson survived the camping then, so I hope you didn't worry too much. They usually come home when they are hungry...... especially boys ha ha.
Your sister would have enjoyed the surprise visit from you and your sure to both have had jaw-ache after all your catching up.
Pat, are you in or out tonight?....... I've lost track of your comings and goings ha ha.
So you might have uncovered a bigamist in your family tree, I wonder what is next?
Thanks for putting the sunshine on the plane to give us a bit of warmth Pat. Today it has been 21degrees and a pleasant day but spoiled itself late afternoon with a heavy rain shower, and tomorrow is meant to be 23 degrees and sunny??
I hope everyone who looks in has had a good day today and will sleep well tonight.
Good Morning Kandj and Pat and all Roll Callers :-) :-) <3
It's looking like "Whether Weather" here again today! Breezy, with a sort of cloudy, hazy sunshine which looks as though we may have some rain at some point too.
We seem to have had the same weather here as you Kandj- warm sunshine but a heavy downpour later in the afternoon. As I am typing it has darkened over. :-(
I need the hedge to dry out. My nephew and his mate took about 6 foot off it last year. We have birds nesting in it in the Spring, so between that, and all the rain, it is catching up again! :-|
I didn't do very much yesterday of a workish nature :-0 I did a lot of tidying up of Family History material on my Laptop- filing into families,etc, so I can see what I have got and not got.
The problem is, that before I had the Laptop, I started off on G.S's PC and the printer is programmed into that.But then I started using the Laptop too, so I have things on both.
Ideally, all records should be on the both. So first I am working through my GR Tree and downloading into my Laptop any records, that are attached to each Family Member, that are missing on my Laptop. That way, should I ever have to let my Platinum Membership go, I will still have access to the records.
Then when GS is in College, I will have to do the same on his PC, where they need to be in order to print out from them. Trouble is, GS's PC is now very slow, particularly as it is upstairs in his room, with a signal catcher thingy that seems to be on strike! :-| :-| :-D
:-)KANDJ I heard you and your OH singing! booootiful it was too! ;-) :-D I love that song. :-) :-)
Yorkshire day sounds lovely :-) Oh and I really fancied the Pie and Mash with Yorkshire Pud!:-) Is in set on that date for a particular historical reason?
I enjoyed "The White Queen" on the telly. My daughter bought me the DVD of the series too. There is supposed to be a follow up series sometime :-)
:-)PAT I hope you and OH are ok.:-) Is it still very, very hot? What's planned for this evening?
Have a lovely day both of you, and all popping in today :-) :-) :-)
Afternoon all :-)
Managed to stay in last night. Did washing/ironing etc as friends went to the beach. Sat outside to eat. We've eaten out so much it was an omelette for the salad hater - male friend. The three of us had salad with eggs and cheese. Sat there for a while, washed up, looked at time 23.15 had a drink of water said goodnight and climbed in the shower. Just got into bed and everyone else was coming upstairs. We all were in bed the same day as we got up for a change.
DNA results
99.9%European
Northern European 96.8 66.3%British & Irish 7.4%French & German 4.3%Scandinavian 18.9%Broadly Northern
Southern European 1.2% 1.2%Broadly Southern European 1.8%Broadly European
Rather boring this lot. :-0
OH is far more exotic. We have been able to check our chromosomes against our daughter's today. She's a mixture of both of us and where she gets her immunity to disease one from as it doesn't appear to be part of either of us, heaven knows. I don't have my father's line it may be him though.
We have a friend out here whose ex RAF like us. We go out with him and his wife quite a bit. Friend is the product of a romance towards the end of the war with a Polish airman who he believes died. Mother died very young before he could question her about his father. Well he should have his DNA done as OH has a great chunk of Polish via his mother which we hadn't known, we now wonder if they're related. Our daughter today (our relationships with those on the database isn't calculated yet) has had an e-mail from a distant cousin whose family are all Poles that went to America. Looks like OHs side.
Will keep you informed.
Out tonight, going away do for our friends up the club. Tomorrow they have to be at Paphos Airport at 18.30 so we'll drop them off and drive to Paphos to have a meal with our ex neighbours and spend the evening there with them. After that we may be free for the rest of the month. I say may as at times the phone rings and relatives/friends say they've got a great deal for a flight out here can they press the button to buy. :-S Off we go again. :-D This is the only place we've needed a diary.
Kandj knew it was Yorkshire day as that's what Radio York's treasure hunt was about yesterday. Can't eat Yorkshires any more it's on my banned list of foods so are potatoes and pies, could have the veg and gravy though.
Jem hope all goes well at the hospital for you and hope grandson had a lovely day, first birthday he can really enjoy. Lovely age.
Hello all
Close and muggy, not particularly pleasant. Rain first thing so it'll do gardens good.
Just checked the garage is locked and saw lots of flying ants with wings, so have made sure that all doors and windows are closed. Don't want any flying in here.
Have been catching up reading last weeks newspapers and horrified to read of some beautiful wild animals have been killed by men who think it is fun to bag a trophy!!!???
My remote car key isnt working and the car door won't lock manually either. I do have a spare key "somewhere", in a safe place. I just have to remember where??
Pat, there is certainly a lot of DNA information for your money. Is your son interested like his sister and will he be having a DNA sample analyzed shortly too?
Are you avoiding eating certain foods for a health reason or perhaps and allergy.
I hope you all enjoy your night at the club. Have you chosen your karaoke song yet.
I wouldnt put the diary away yet, you might just get folk who are wanting sunshine.
Jem, the time goes quickly when you get carried away with family history tidying up. I recall Yorkshire Day beginning 1st August 1975 by a society who protested against Government legislation to reorganize the then, North/East/West Ridings of Yorkshire. It has increased in popularity and now many villages and towns organize special events to celebrate and raise awareness of our Yorkshire County heritage.
I missed seeing the White Queen episodes. Hubby was ill and in hospital for a long time and the last thing on my mind was watching TV programmes back then.
I hope that grandson 2 birthday went well. Two is a lovely age, little ones are full of energy and everything is fun, bless them all. Do tiny tots still eat the icing off buns? Never still for more than two minutes at a time and smile like butter wouldn't melt lol.
Weather is forecast to be cloudy and windy tomorrow. Perhaps Pat has taken the sunshine back? It's definitely getting darker earlier too. Where is our Summer??
Good wishes to PH and all who look into Dizzi's roll call. Goodnight to you all.
Good Morning All
Cool and windy here today. Not very good for August but it's drying the washing so that's always a bonus.
Last week we had our granddaughter staying with us, so that was a happy time for us all. We shared lots of hugs and many laughs which is always a good boost for us. It's much quieter and the bungalow seems bigger now we are back to two again
I have found the spare car key.... Yippee!! It was where I thought it was, so that saved hunting around. I often put items in "a safe place" and its months before I find them again. This spare car key was at the back of a kitchen drawer with 1001 other bits and bobs. I found other keys and have absolutely no idea what they are there for ??...... do I bin the lot??..... or hang on to them "just in case", decisions decisions ha ha.I need a spare hour to tidy the drawer and see what treasures there.
Sad news about Cilla Black's sudden death. She was very popular in 60/70's era I used to have the old 45 records of her and other popular Liverpool artists. Weird in her last TV interview Cilla saying that she doesn't want to live after 75. Cilla got her wish, but an awful shock for her family and close friends right now.
The new neighbours at the top of the road moved in last week. Still a few cars and vans around so not sure who actually have bought this bungalow yet.
Pat and Jem, I hope that you are both well and enjoy whatever you plan for today.
Good wishes to everyone who look in to Roll Callers. It still seems very strange not to have lovely DIZZI's daily posting though.
Afternoon all :-)
Well, have no one staying and saw friends in Paphos last night and they leave the island tomorrow. We're nearly back to normal- well as normal as we get. ;-)
August arrived here yesterday, came downstairs yesterday morning to find the temp already 33 C got up to 38 C later. Today we hit 40 C, not done a lot today. :-S
Out tonight but OH's back is a bit tender but we promised to go to a Chinese buffet so it's eat and leave. Shopping tomorrow, I'll be getting plenty of salad and maybe a cooked chicken. Too hot to be near the oven.
Kandj glad you found your key, we have a draw like that but we do have a separate place for all the keys. We went through all our keys before we came here and any we couldn't identify we ditched. We labelled those related to our old house and left them in the house. Daughter's friend met the new owners as they arrived and opened up for them with daughter's key. She lived around the corner from us and was on maternity leave so it was easier for her than daughter who was miles away that day learning to survey a road.
When we had new neighbours I always put a welcome to your new house card through the door and listed things like when the dustmen etc came, I'd identify myself and say where I was. Worked every time, did it on quarters where everyone helped each other anyway. In civvy street we always had nice neighbours. We were either very lucky or the helpful introduction broke the ice and they were friendly towards us.
I was shocked about Cilla but from what I've read could have been depressed since her husband's death and dreaded lingering like her mother, wonder if that affected her health. Sad she's gone, such a character.
Jem hope you are ok and having fun like Kandj did with your grandchildren.
I miss Dizzi's input as well. We did however have the pleasure of her writings and happy memories of her humour. :-)
Have a good evening all. :-) <3
Good Evening Roll Callers :-) :-) <3
It's been a very windy and chilly day here in South West Wales. I have had the heating on today, but it's on a thermostat and switches off when it reaches the set temp and back on again when it goes colder.
I did a big food shop today, as I am totally out of routine since Grandson 1 left school. I have just been getting bits and pieces of shopping, but it meant I was going shopping more often, and always out of something.
When I was leaving the shop, with a big trolley laden with bags of shopping, there was an almighty downpour! I had to hang all the carrier bags on door handles in the house to dry out before I could put them away in the car boot for next time!
Grandson 2 hasn't had his little tea party yet. They have all been under the weather with colds, and he had been up all night, and then slept in the day. As Daughter and her husband work evenings, they are leaving it until the weekend.
I have been very busy getting my money's worth ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) from my £1 subs to ancestry. What I have found, is that it has given me lots of hints and tips, especially from Members' Trees. I found lots on my Pembrokeshire Francis' last night, but only GR had the Original Parish Records. I have found something I that like about all three of the Genealogy Sites(GR, FMP and Ancestry) that I have used. What one has the other doesn't and vice versa.
So I am amassing as much info as I can, so that I can research documents with my GR Platinum/Parish subs when my month's Ancestry runs out.
It was very sad about Cilla Black:-( I feel very sorry for her boys. I have been singing her songs constantly since. I particularly loved "You're My World" and "Anyone Who Had A Heart". I used to love her hour shows where she did comedy sketches too.
:-) PAT that's a very interesting list of nationalities that you have in your DNA! Will it influence who you shout for in the Rugby World Cup? ;-) ;-) ;-) :-D :-D It would be very interesting if your friend is related to your OH.
My parents were in the RAF too. My Dad during WW2 and my Mum enlisted just after, c. 1947. She was demobbed to marry my Dad. She said they were the best years of her life.
:-)KANDJ How lovely that you had your Granddaughter to stay for the week :-) You will miss her now!
I'm glad you found your car key. I'm always putting things away in a "safe place" and forgetting where that is, or forgetting about the item altogether. Or not remembering what they were for in the first place!
Last night I found a pack of 2 Cadbury's Caramel Doughnuts that I had bought for GS1 and hidden from OH! They have to be eaten within a day or two and they had been there a month at least! :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0
Hope you are both ok:-) <3
~~~~~~~~~~ to Everyone looking in :-) :-)
Love Jem <3
