The Pr##ier Inn chain have a few in London, a corporate hotel, but ok I guess.

Maybe the hotel in Angel, Islington seems one of the cheapest within the London area. Not exactly in the centre of town, but has good connections with Tube and Buses. The No.73 bus passes through Angel, and terminates at Victoria.

Just a thought. Worth a shufty on the website in due course.

:-)

Motown I have shuftied them and they are on the list. It doesn´t need to be a central hotel just easy access to Victoria and all points out. I need to check where all the records are that I am going to want to find ....after all the reason for me being over is to research some family tree stuff :-0 My OH ´s family are from all over London so I need to base that, as OH said Viccy is so central for the meet and for everything else. Plus it would make it easy for others just doing a day trip.
I don´t mind doing cheap but I do require a room with ensuite , after all I am going to be there for a week. We will see nearer the time as I don´t even have a time yet as OH hasn´t started thinkingg about next years hols.......he has to be at home to look after my Minxy the epi furbaby :-( .....

Sue if you look in how are you doing in Chesterfield ?

Stray what glass would that be ?

MotownGal Report 19 Jun 2015 22:29

I dont know if the Family Records Office has updated its website, but it used to be at Clerkenwell. That has closed down, and now all records are at Richmond as far as I know.

Please let me know nearer the time if there is something that needs checking in London, and if I can find out for you, then I will be pleased to do so.

:-)

Motown cheers for that, apart from typical parish records there are a few odd bods that I might need, will give you a shout nearer the time when I work out what they are. I know one of his rellies was given Freedom of Stationers (or something like that). :-D.

I shall have my thinking cap on for next year as there will be a lot of fun to be had in London ! :-0

I could baby sit with Wend. We could take baby S. to see Les Mis... not too much blood and gore in that Or perhaps the Imperial War Museum. or not . No pub in there. If the weather is warm we could have a swim in the Thames, bring your cosi Wend, baby S. will be perfectly safe with us, and he WILL enjoy himself !!!

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Choose your tour guide carefully for the Jack the Ripper walk.

My son went on one, and had to correct his errors all the way around!

Talk about the proverbial bothersome fly!!

If yer pays yer money, you expect to get a proper tour!!

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

UzziAndHerDogs Report 22 Jun 2015 07:25

ha ha Mo ...I did look at the pub walk but as they only "visit" 2 decided we could do better :-0. There are other options and a long time to decide, I did think it would be good if we did something maybe on the Friday night but also something on the Sunday.

Now looking at Thames boat trips .... :-( no chance of dressing up for that though mmmm or is there ? :-D :-D :-D
