What some in Tory Party think of the NHS reforms

The Prime Minister David Cameron never tires of defending the governments controversial NHS reforms and telling us they are too important to be derailed - however it appears that not everyone in his party agrees with him.

In an article in the Times newspaper today, it is reported that some senior conservatives have admitted, that the governments re-organisation of the NHS was the biggest mistake they have made in government.

They are reported as saying, that David Cameron did not understand the controversial reforms and George Osborne regrets not preventing what Downing Street officials call a “huge strategic error”.

The article also alleges that a senior cabinet minister said “We have made three mistakes that I regret, the first being restructuring the NHS - the rest are minor.”

Commenting on the plans drawn up by the former Health Secretary Andrew Lansley, one insider described them as “unintelligible gobbledygook” and another, who apparently is an ally of the Chancellor George Osborne, allegedly said “George kicks himself for not having spotted it and stopped it."

I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty.
