I remember singing with BC - not literally side by side nor face to face but over cyberspace:

I am so sad to read of BCs passing, I returned from holiday today and this is the first thread I read. I never met her but she was such a lovely person on here and I remember well the lovely fun thread we took part in for daff and how BC with her bloomers was heading an escape/search party.
BC very kindly put up a birthday thread for me when she realised that we shared the same birthday. A one off lovely lady who we will all miss.

RIP BC xxxx <3 <3 <3

Im so sorry to have missed BCs send off
.What a lovely ,friendly lady she was,and so warm and giving too.She was so full of fun and just enjoyed life, her friends and family.
I was shocked to read of her death on my return from my holiday a couple of days ago
I will remember her hospitality on the first day I met her,and her getting me ever so slightly drunk too. I wasnt used to drinking wine, but BC ensured my glass was always full, and gave me a massive hangover the next day
RIP BC,you will be very much missed by all who knew you.
I am so glad that I got to meet you several times.
It was an absolute pleasure, and a great laugh too

May you rest in peace for ever

Just read the description of BC's funeral. It sounds just like her to have a humanist one.

She always seemed very sassy {I know I have used that expression before, but I think it suits her to a T} and the description of the ceremony seems very apt.

May she now rest in peace and without pain.

Thank you for sharing your memories of BC's funeral.

It sounds a very fitting send off for a very special person.

I'm sure that there were many, like myself, quietly holding BC and her friends and family in our thoughts at that time.

Arrived home a short while ago, tired, but so glad we were able to pay our respects to Mo (BC) our good friend.

It was really lovely to see her family, her friends and her beautiful grandchildren again.
The ceremony was very moving and we loved the music chosen ..."You don't know me " (Ray Charles) was emotional but when "Toot Toot" was played everyone smiled and could just imagine BC dancing to it.

On the front of the Order of Ceremony was a really lovely picture of BC ,when a young bridesmaid.
With the quotation
"Say not in grief
She is no more
But live in thankfulness
That she was."

and I would say 'I'm thankful that she was a friend to many.

Just like to say that I had printed out the sheets from the tribute thread, and gave them to Mo's son and daughter in law. They were very touched and thanked all members and they hope to be able to come onto GR and give a message.

* :-S Clutches bag of frozen peas to throbbing head *
It was a beautiful humanist service, the first one I have ever attended, simply and calm no fuss just surround by people she loved and people that loved her.
There was no prayers or hymns. We were asked to take our seats in the crematorium and BC was brought in to the song “ what a good year for the roses” , her brother spoke of his last visit with BC and how he taken her in wheel chair on a quest to Selfridges for organic eggs which was brought and as they were leaving BC noticed a bar selling champagne and oysters and unable to have any of these herself she encourage her bother to try some so he did , it was only 11am. The celebrant led the tribute and talked about BC’s life and loves, how any excuse would result in a party even Man Utd got a mention and her nephew read a story written by BC, you could recognise immediately it was about her planning the very day, the food she wanted people to eat and the people that would attend.
We was than ask to just sit and reflect whilst a song of BC’s choice was played “ You don’t know me” and then another little talk about BC and service closed with another song of her choice “ don’t mess with my toot toot “ to which I sat there and rolled my eyes.
It was then back to BC’s where the drink and food flowed plentiful and her son fussed about the guest as she would of done, she would of loved it.
In all the times I have visited BC I had always refrained from drinking alcohol I would take a glass of wine with our meal and that was it, as I would be travelling back by train alone and would have to have my wits about me, however yesterday as Itsmytelly was with me I relaxed and drank a few cocktails I mingled chatted with BC’s family and friends we exchanged story’s so did Itsmytelly. Lets just say I carried him to the taxi and we only just made the train. It was a lovely wonderful day and I am so very proud I was a part of it.
