Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 16 Aug 2014 12:17

We had some great times together on the boards and in real life, we had some great laughs and I am lucky enough to have fantastic memories of those times. She was convinced I was a psychic and loved the silly threads I used to post, she even wrote a story for the GR readers group, once we were on our way back to Euston Station to put me on the train and we stopped at a café as we were early. Whilst drinking our coffee she asked that when I returned home I would post a thread offering readings, I refused as I had received PM,s asking for a reading and it worried me that people were taking me seriously, I also went on to ask what was it her and my mother, my Mother often asks me to read her tea leafs and I haven’t a clue, at this point BC said in the café “ “aww gown Hayley read my cup”, I reminded her she was drinking coffee, refusing to believe this made any difference she slid her cup over to me. I slid it back and told her to turn the cup upside down and turn it in the saucer 3 times, she did this and passed it back, this gave me time to think of something to tell her in the so called reading, she slid the cup and saucer back to me, and still playing for time, I asked her if she was ready for this and could she handle the truth, she sat up straight and gave me a solemn nod of the head, I took at deep breath and lifted the cup and gasped, BC wringed her hands and asked “ whatder see Hayley” I showed her the cup and said naff all its empty and showed her the remains of her coffee bits in the saucer, she then sulked for all of 5 seconds and called me a fraud. We both roared laughing.
When anyone took the time to visit her at her home she would play the hostess to perfection everyone was always made welcome. I used to love to listen to her stories she was such an interesting person and had lived a very interesting life. She was a natural comedian I watched her at meets she could hold court if she commanded it people would be almost hypnotised by her charm and elegance. That’s after they got over the shock that she wasn’t a little old lady dragging a tartan shopping trolly loaded with bottles of bailies, I was looking at photos of us the other day and remember just how tall she was.

I don't know if BC had a favourite charity but I'll try and find out.

She would probably say 'to a charity of your choice'

Is there a charity we can make donations to in BC's name - does anyone know?

I am shocked and saddened to hear the news of BC. She will certainly be missed here on GR.
My sincere condolences go to her family, along with my thoughts and prayers.
May she rest in peace

I quite agree Gwynne...on both counts.

I've sent three emails and not even had a reply!! noticed the stickied threads have gone from the top, so perhaps today?

Now wondering if genes staff still read general threads?

Time this was stickied.

BC was GR royalty, it's the least they could do.
