Knysna is on the Western Cape of South Africa, it's actually near the bottom, and to the right but quite a way from Cape Town.
Tomorrow, we have a boat trip on the lagoon with lunch, then a visit to a nature reserve the day after. On Friday, we move down to Oudtishoorn, then finally to Cape Town on Sunday for tha final three nights. We will go up Table Mountain, visit Robben Island , and also Boulder Beach to see the penguin colony. We fly home on Wednesday night.

The safaris are all finished now that we have moved South, though we will be visiting an ostrich farm in a few days. The visit includes lunch - can't imagine what will be on the menu! :-D :-D :-D
I did nibble on some ostrich biltong today - it's sort of like a dog chew for humans - I bet Ralphie would love it :-D :-D ;-)

A barrow load of manure!

Would anybody like some rain to lay the Sahara dust? It is absolutely belting down here in Knysna, and shows no sign of stopping. I'M MAROONED IN THE HOTEL, AS I LEFT MY BROLLY BEHIND AT TODAY'S LUNCH STOP (sorry, the caps lock was on!) To think, I was complaining about the hot and humid weather only yesterday morning. We have flown South, and it's a whole different ball game!
The hotel we stayed at last night was unbelievable - the height of luxury, think Las Vegas. The one we are at for the next 3 nights is more Premier Inn, but we have a lovely view of the waterfront and lagoon - and the rain!
It's taken me ages to type this on OH's ipad - I'm missing the public computer i was using a couple of days ago!
