GP,you remind me of my Mother in Law, who every Sunday, when we would visit, would announce.

" we didn't win the lottery last night " in a very matter of fact way, like it was expected that they would win but something had gone wrong.

Like, we didn't watch Eastenders last night, or I didn't want to wash up, or I didn't buy biscuits this week.

We still say it on the rare occasion we buy a ticket. ( and don't win !)

It's an absolutely gorgeous day here, but I'm pottering around the house, making cheese scones, and sorting through my bulging wardrobes, to see what I can part with! :-D :-D
Why do I keep finding things I've never worn? And looking at some of them, I probably never will!

My OH is exactly the same! It's not IF HE WINS THE LOTTERY, BUT when he wins it!

And when I look at the property pages at houses for sale in my home village, that I would love to be able to return to if we had the means, he asks how much they are going for- as if he had it stashed away under the bed! :-D :-D :-D

Not started yet GiN ...just getting everything ready......Got the bed, the wardrobes, and bedside tables looking for a mirror and radiator cover....hopefully in the next week or so I will be stripping :-D :-D ;-)

Mersey, If you get a radiator cover, try to get one that's ready painted. We didn't, and it drove me nuts painting around all the cut out bits, with paint pooling in all the holes! :-| :-D ;-)

I am looking at white ones Gin, I hate painting :-0 :-0 :-D

I quite enjoy it, normally, but that was a blooming trial! :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

I love wallpapering ,always have done I find it very therapeutic, Nan and Mum taught me everything I know :-D :-D :-D

We like wallpapering, too - better than painting walls, and the result is so quick. No second or third coats, and often quite a transformation! :-D :-D

We have a lot of decorating to look forward to. Especially as now, thanks to the weather we need to have a wall in the dining room and another in a bedroom re plastered before we can do anything else.

It's just the though of moving everything out of the way, then going through it all and trying to decide what we can get rid of. Uggggh !!

I too love wallpapering Mersey, Himself has now taken that job on now that he is retired.
