Hi Michael, can i just say it is important for you to keep away from anyone with any kind of infection while you are on chemo.

I'm sure your brilliant sense of humour will help you through your treatment. Good luck with your first chemo session.

I haven't posted on this thread before Michael but I want to echo what others have said. You are truly an inspiration to us all with the way you are coping. Your wonderful sense of humour must be helping your family cope as well.

Rest as much as you can now so that your body can benefit as much as possible from the chemo.

Take time to rest now Michael so that your body is ready for the chemo. Don't worry about your son, let him sort his problems out and obviously your daughter in law is not a kind person so forget about her. Wishing you well with the chemo when it starts. Yes you are an inspiration to all of us with your sense of humour. :-)

yes I saw that what mr magoo said thank you I am afraid that I may not post for a few days as my blood pressure seams to up a bit may rest up in bed for a while as the events are taking a toll my son is back home as his wife if giving him grief about spending a lot of time with me. I think that's it over for them . she came round and started so I told her to sod off and don't come back my son also has health problems and needs surport which she is not giving to him. :-( :-(

you can always have a plot in your own garden if you wish - and as kandj says, you are an inspiration to all of us

Not long before the chemo session begins but sending positive thoughts and healing vibes to you right now. You are an inspirational figure to me and I'm sure that many others on here will feel exactly the same too. Well it would do that same job Michael, but with your courage and humour you deserve something more than Mr Shift it, nephew or not!

My paternal grandfather was a carpenter/joiner and made the coffins for people in his village years ago.

Shame no one in the family has a horse and cart to take you to the Crem lol

good news today got my appointment re chemo it,s on the 24th of this month got to have blood test two days before the check my liver function is ok and one on the appointment day so might be a long day then if all is ok it,s full steam ahead if well I don't know. family is important to me as I have said earlier I spent a few years on the street I was lucky I had help to turn my life around but it did teach me a new lesson. about life. yes I have talked to my son about putting up info on how I am doing when I am unable to as regards the family tree none of the family is really interested in it but my youngest sister is going to see if she can find out about f
a few brick walls on the irish side. which is good then the tree will be finished. well I wound son and wife up the other night saying I was looking at the cost of the cremation etc and how the flipping govt still charge vat screwing every last penny out of you.well I said that I would ask my nephew in law to make a coffin put it in the back of his transit and take me to the crem then put my ashes in the back garden I wont tell you what they said the first word began with F and the last was off. lol. don't know why ?. they aint no fun. :-D :-D :-D

as has been said Michael, you are inspirational - we all know life is too short by far and time spent arguing or in conflict is time wasted - I hope that at some stage in the future my only sister will come to realise this
