How Yorkshire are you Fly? I did the How Northern Are You quiz - I was only 95%, missed out on 5% because I haven't had chips and gravy in the last week :-(

I'm borderline Yorkshire ... so I'm not offended by this, hope you aren't, or anyone else

CT - I'm in Whitby for a whole week, I love the place, too! It has so much atmosphere. Sadly, got to leave tomorrow, but my travels aren't finished yet!

A gansey might be a Geordie word, we'll have to verify that with GP!

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 15 Nov 2013 16:48

Afternoon all - Didn't realise you are still in Whitby GiN, I've only been once, but loved it!

Hi LB - think daughter is coming home for a couple of days soon - I'll let you know when it's my turn to do a return visit to London. Drumming my fingers seems to have spread from the North to the South and aroused (is that a banned word?) a few people.

Fly - nobody has sent me a p.m. :-( So I'm just surmising

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 15 Nov 2013 16:43

I just knew there was a purpose to this thread, GiN :-D

Did you know what a gansey was, Fly :-0

GinN

GinN Report 15 Nov 2013 16:40

LB - a gansey is a fisherman's jumper (or Guernsey) :-D :-D

6'30, eh? Better have an early or a late tea, then! ;-) ;-) :-D

Fly

Fly Report 15 Nov 2013 16:38

Plenty of sea fishing going on around Whitby's piers today, but I don't think they were using flies! :-D :-D :-D
I'm quite willing to don me sou'wester and gansey, and have a go! ;-) ;-) :-D
