We hi-jacked a wedding in a hotel stayed at in Harrogate. Went around town, a bit quiet, back to hotel - disco had been quiet and finished - but were happily accepted into someone's reception, I think we started the dancing off and got things going! (but covered our faces with newspapers at breakfast the following morning)

Yes, Fly, we went there the other day - it's a gorgeous little place! We walked along the beach until the tide came in a bit close. I've stayed in the Youth Hostel a couple of times. One time, my pal and I went for a drink in the village, and when we came out, the tide was right up to the cliffs, and we couldn't get back to the hostel - it is 4 miles by road, and it was only half an hour to lock out! We were marooned!!! :-0

Fly - we've mainly stayed in Whitby, apart from a short drive down the coast. Had a lovely bracing walk down the pier - plenty of fishing there, and lots of crashing waves. :-D :-D :-D

My eldest grandson is ace at fishing - he's done trout, but mainly fishes for carp :-) :-) :-)
