Well, everyone was smiling on the bus this morning. Not a usual occurrence by any means. The bus was half an hour late, luckily I only waited 15 minutes but it is supposed to run every 10-15 minutes. We always have a double decker on our route and the morning buses are usually full by the time we get to town. There was a long queue at our stop, nobody moaning everybody patiently waiting. The bus arrives, it was a single decker. I think the proper bus must have broken down as the driver said he was called to drive that one as he was due to go off duty in Cheltenham. He was quite placid about it too. Anyway, the bus, after a few stops, had the normal number of a double decker, about 14 people standing. But what everyone was smiling at was, when he stopped to let people off he had to rely on the passengers at the front to tell him if anyone else was fighting their way through to get off. So he's shout ' any more on the way?', this would ripple down the bus until the answer 'no more now' would come back. Never seen so many people chatting and laughing with perfect strangers before on the bus. :-D :-D
