The Government has just issued a warning that the supply of apostrophes in the written English language is running dangerously low. This is mainly due to apostrophe malpractices.

We are being encouraged to be precisely punctuated in future, otherwise a ration will have to be instituted. We need to defend our apostrophic heritage from the grasping & greedy EU authorities.
