Methinks you're right Sharron...it really draws attention to the items for sale though!

The seller appears to be a genuine ebayer located in Australia and I admire the woman.

None of us know just how awful the daughter has been and perhaps the Mother's patience has worn out with the latest shenanigans.

Kids....you have to earn respect!

Good for you Kay!

Sharron Report 20 Sep 2013 22:25

It's not real.

I don't suppose it is the first set of tickets these people have sold at profit.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 20 Sep 2013 22:21

It cant be a true story as she wont ever be forgiven ........that it makes uncomfortable reading to be on an auction site......she must have been foaming at the mouth writing that.......

......my children did things that were not as I should have liked them to do,,,,,,,,,but with some thought it was calmy dealt
with to a level of understanding that it never happened again......

I certainly would have let her go to the concert,,,,,,,,,with a condition,, that at half time I would take her home.. :-)

I am very good with children,,,,,,.young adults and older. :-D

God Hayley - I would be a very bitter woman now if I hadn't put it behind me and got on with my life in spite of her.

Island Report 20 Sep 2013 22:16

I agree with Kay. I've seen this before and find it hard to believe.

Sounds like bratty mother got the kids she deserved - IF it is true.

Guinevere Report 20 Sep 2013 22:10

I think the mother was much too harsh - awful to publicly shame her daughter in this way.

If she wants to stop her going to the show as a punishment that's one thing but public humiliation is quite another.

Doesn't look like they had a very good relationship in the first place.

SheilaSomerset Report 20 Sep 2013 22:09

If this is true (*doubts*) then the mother is entitled to be angry and upset, but plastering it all over a website makes her look like a screechy harridan, not a good example for your children.

You know Sharron after reading your posts you well be right...... Or maybe mum was young when she had her daughter, I used to be super strict with my children because I was so young when I first became a mother it was if people were waiting for me to mess up, till one day after again grounding my son , my mum turned round and said just think about half the stuff you used to get up too let the lad live and learn...... ;-)

Wend

Wend Report 20 Sep 2013 22:05

I had a vicious and vindictive grandmother Sharron, who brought me up (sometimes cruelly and ruthlessly) from age 5. That doesn't even come into this as far as I'm concerned.

I am actually with Kay on this one, I think Mum is being a tad bit hard on her here ... I think Mum will regret this in later life....

My Mum caught my eldest sister nicking off from School actually sister confessed as the rest of her mates got caught it turned out she didnt in the end, Mum decided sister couldnt go on the school trip to Jersey even blamed sister for loosing the deposit. Even the head of year came to our house and begged Mum to let her go....Mum stuck to her guns and sister never ever let her forget it :-D

Wend

Wend Report 20 Sep 2013 22:01

True TS - none of my 3 children would have done that, so it's academic for me, but I can still understand the mother's reaction.

Just realised it sounds as though I am agreeing with the comments on ebay. I would not berate my kids publicly but I most certainly would and have deprived them. My OH and I have 7 kids between us as we were both divorced with kids when we met and thank goodness that we bought them all up the same and they have all turned out reasonably well :-D. I too had an evil nasty Mother and would certainly never hurt and abuse our kids the way she treated me

Tenerife Sun

Tenerife Sun Report 20 Sep 2013 21:54

No, I wouldn't do that. I think that my daughters behaviour would have some reflection on her upbringing, by me!

She would not have been going to see One Direction that's for sure, plus any other suitable punishment I could dish out. I can't see any benefit in making such a public show of not only our family but the parents of her daughters friends who possibly were also taken in by their off spring.

Sharron

Sharron Report 20 Sep 2013 21:51

Don't anybody pull the "You've never had kids have you?" one out of the hat. I haven't but I have had a vicious and vindictive mother.

If this is real it leaves me feeling a little uneasy. However, I think those tickets were bought to sell for a prophet on e-Bay and this is the cover story to make it look legitimate.

It is just not quite right.
