Still thinking of Joyce and hope she is getting stronger each day

I have just spoken to Sheila, Liz left me a message I have only just picked up as I have been standing in for two colleagues at work so have not been on my computer for a couple of days. news is Joyce is in a nursing home next to the hospital where she is having physio and speach therapy but is doing well. Shiela is going to call her on Friday and give me an update so I will let you know as soon as I have spoken to Sheila.Elaine. :-)

Elaine, thank you for letting us know the latest news about Joyce......let's hope that she will continue along the road to complete recovery

Do you know if Sheila is still on her landline? For some reason I have got it into my head that she isn't.lol!!!!

I hope that Joyce continues to improve daily and that Jan is coping as best as he can with work and nursing home visits.

Sallie, Yes Sheila is still on her landline. Dutch is at home for the weekend, has to go back Monday so Sheila is going to give Joyce and Jan a bit of space before she calls them Sheila says Liz is home Monday so she may give them a call. I bet they have trouble getting Joyce back to the nursing home but it seems to be working for her so she must be a good girl or they may not let her go home next weekend. Elaine. :-)

Hi Elaine, thanks for letting us know about Joyce. I'm sure that she is happy to be at home for the weekend and it also gives Jan a couple of days break from going into visit her. Let's hope that they can spend a restful weekend together.

So sorry that I have not be on GR recently or I would have picked up on our Joyce (Dutch) being so poorly, bless her....well Dutch I don't know what to say except that it is so unlike you to take a holiday away from Jan, be it unplanned, and I don't remember you asking for any additional leave but then you always have done your own thing in the past..am only joking lass.. :-D.....I can imagine our Caz was looking down and telling you that it is not your time to pay her a visit and just to be patient, get well for her and do as you are told for once, as if that's possible ;-) xx Loads of hugs and prayers are winging their way to you as I speak and thanks to you Jan for being there for her as always.. Sorry I couldn't post this yesterday, had problems with the computer!

I spoke with Sheila and found out that Joyce is now home and doing quite well. She is able to talk to folk if anyone would like to ring her but can't ring out from home. She still gets some words muddled (think of Sharron's Dad Fred) but can still talk for England apparently lol

I don't think she is going online at the mo, but I may be wrong, just don't be surprised if you send a pm and it goes unanswered, don't blame me lol


I am glad to know Joyce is back with Jan and the dog, hope she will look after herself properly when he isn't home and that she will get all the help she needs to continue to make a good recovery.

Knew you could do it Joyce, you have a lot to do in your life yet, keep up the effort and you will be back to normal in no time (hang on, Joyce, Normal ????????lol)
