GinN Report 15 Aug 2013 14:37

Fly - I know nothing about computers at all, and if anything at all goes wrong with my laptop, I have only two words "HELP........please?" :-D :-D ;-)

Fly

Fly Report 15 Aug 2013 14:55

Gin
I don't know a lot either but if I shout Help nobody listens

GinN

GinN Report 15 Aug 2013 14:59

Fly - luckily my OH, though no expert, knows enough to sort out most problems. Left to my own devices, I'd probably regress to the dark ages! :-D :-D

BarbinSGlos Report 15 Aug 2013 15:13

Hello everyone :-D :-D <3 it's only me.

It's been a rainy old day here so far but I don't mind really because as you know I am confined to barracks. Oh, I forgot the Sarge aka Mersey isn't on parade :-D

Hope all is well with you all

Bledding dusting round here, what a job. You do it once and in 4 or 5 months it needs doing again

:-| :-| :-D

GinN

GinN Report 15 Aug 2013 15:19

Hello, hello, Barbs! :-D :-D

I read somewhere that if you don't dust for (can't remember how long!) it never gets any worse, so you could leave it for ages!
But I don't know, cos being the diligent housewife I am (not), I've never found out! :-D :-D :-D ;-)

lilybids Report 15 Aug 2013 15:24

Quintin Crisp said that if you don't dust for 3 months it doesn't get any worse

:-D :-D

BarbinSGlos Report 15 Aug 2013 15:30

Never believe what you read GiN, its the cobwebs on top of the dust that tells me I have to get me duster out LOL

It's my g,grandson's 3rd birthday on Saturday bless him and we have been invited over. I can't go like this and g,daughter understands but If I went I could be done for GBH on OH first wife. Have I said too much. I expect so. But I would be justified.

Nice to get stuff off your chest to cyber friends innit :-D :-D

GinN

GinN Report 15 Aug 2013 15:37

Ooer, Barb! Never had you down as someone who could inflict GBH! We'd better watch our step in future, eh!

But you're right - if you can't tell yer cybermates, who can you tell! :-D :-D ;-) ;-)

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 15 Aug 2013 15:43

I am really a lovely old girl. No harm in me whatsoever. Life is too short innit :-D

How long is it now GiN before you are off to Canada. Just over a week or so yeh?

:-D lucky you

GinN

GinN Report 15 Aug 2013 15:49

Yes, Barb - not long now - travelling down to Heathrow on 24th, and flying out on Saturday 25th at 10.25 am.
Getting quite excited now, but the flight is going to be about 9 1/2 hours - not good for a fidgeter like me! :-D :-D

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 15 Aug 2013 15:56

Oh I thought you were off this month. Saturday down here is on the 24th. Do we have a time thingy going on ;-) :-D

GinN

GinN Report 15 Aug 2013 16:05

Sorry - in my excitement I got the days wrong - Sunday 25th it is! I hope! :-S

PS it is a shame you won't be sharing your g.grandson's birthday, though. :-(

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 15 Aug 2013 16:22

I know but it's ok.

When the grandchildren were born, all steps, as I have no blood grandkids, I got a message on the drums that I was not to be called Nan. Bleddy cheek.

They all have and the little one who has only just started talking last week came up to me and said "nanny Barb " and I must admit I had a tear.

Bit maudlin today aren't I. I will have to have a read of the norty joke thread ;-)

BTW i have only been with OH for just over 38 years fer gawds sake :-D

GinN

GinN Report 15 Aug 2013 16:37

Barb - that's a great shame, but so nice that the little one thinks of you as "Nanny". It's not blood ties that count, it's the love you give. :-)
