:-Dthanks

GinN Report 12 Aug 2013 16:06

Barb - yes, Tombland is in the old part of Norwich. There is a church there, though I think it might be St. Michaels. It's just a street now, but once had the largest market in Norfolk. I believe. :-)

Well somethings caused my blood pressure to rise but I can't put my finger on it. :-D ;-)
If you wish I will enlarge on it. Close your eyes and when I count to three open them. 1-2-3 There are you now satisfied. :-D ;-)

Hello, Lilybids!

There are plenty places on line to find freezers and other appliances, but getting them to unwrap and install is definitely a different matter! However, for a small fee, Curries delivered and installed my new washing machine and took the old one away! :-D

Just had a look GiN. It looks a really great place to visit. Loads of historical buildings too. I read there was a thriving leather industry and it fits that my ancestor was a boot closer. I had St Tombland wrongly.

I have just had a very enjoyable history lesson

So why did he move to Exeter by 1851 LOL :-D

Maybe it doesn't apply to anyone on here but did you all see my post back a bit. Nobody commented so I guess nobody read it or is involved. :-) :-)

GinN Report 12 Aug 2013 17:17

Now, GP! Calm down, calm down - think of your blood pressure! :-D :-D ;-)

Barb - Norwich is a great city, with tons of history - I love going there, only 42 miles away! One of my GGFx3 was born in Norwich, but was brought up in Surrey. Seems that people moved around more than we think! :-)

Hi Ann,
I wasn't ignoring you - Its not my nature. It's just that I had not contributed to the thread in question because I thought there might have been a genuine mistake.
Sorry.

That's fine GP, as long as people have seen the post, it is just that the thread took off quickly so it was possible nobody spotted it.
